He tries to explain why man behaves most improbably, strangely, at variance with his nature, how it is possible for instance that a calm, rather neutral petty bourgeois is all of a sudden capable of commanding a concentration camp, burning to death or gassing thousands of people, and afterwards returning to his clerk's life as if nothing happened, |
He's a master of the new school of musicals, moving from traditional musical comedy to a more realistic musical. It has hysterical moments as well as wonderful, heartbreaking moments. There's not necessarily a bad guy — these are just two people who fell in love too quickly and moved too fast, only to find their lives have taken different turns. |
He's been given more opportunities and he's taking advantage of that. So it will be exciting for him to go back, but I don't think it means as much as his freshman and sophomore year. I think it's big to him, but it's not like he's not going to sleep before the game or be all intense about it. He wants to win because I think Bam just wants to win. |
He's easily one of the top two players who have played here, if not the best. Not just because of athletic skill but what he brings to the game. He's a hard worker every day. He goes home late, does it in the classroom. He's kind of a throwback to the 1960s, when most all kids were like that. He reminds me a lot of how I used to approach the game. |
He's really down to earth. He keeps it real with everybody and doesn't try and rub it in people's faces. Everybody knows his dad played in the NBA, but we never talk about it. And I don't think anybody puts any expectations on (Garrett) because of his dad. People realize he's a high school kid. We have enough stuff to worry about being a teenager. |
Hopefully, he will be out at some point this week. The latest is that things are going fine. They are taking every precautionary measure. Hopefully, things will go well, but the worst thing we can do is rush him out of the hospital. It's a very serious injury, obviously, as you saw. We're going to make sure he is going to be OK before he gets out. |
I accept the Holy Father's decision with gratitude and confidence, ... The confidence is based on the fact that I can count on the help of God. . . . The gratitude comes from the privilege of working with my brother bishops and priests, deacons and religious, whose generosity and zeal I have already experienced over the last four and a half years. |
I always say, 'I owe my career to golf. The test director went out to play golf. At 1 o'clock I walked out on the stage and there are these three girls, they're made up ready to be tested and I walked in and said, 'I'm the director.' And some guy in the back yelled, 'Well, go ahead and direct Charlie.' So that was it. That was the moment of truth. |

I am disappointed with our revenue growth for the quarter just ended. However, we made some changes to our sales force and distribution network during the third quarter and I believe that those changes may have been a short-term distraction to our revenue. I trust that the changes we made will now enable us to continue our focus on renewed growth. |
I am not going to comment on and worry about who or when the starter is (going to be named) because the bottom line is, like every Dolphins fan, everybody that I know and everybody that works in this building, wants to play the quarterback that is going to give us the best opportunity to win. That is what we are going to try to do and work toward. |
I am really happy to stay with FPR for next year, especially after the amount of progress that we have made. We are now consistently in the top ten and I believe we have not finished improving the bike yet. The guys that I have been working with have showed me a whole new level of professionalism and that has been a major influence in my decision. |
I beat the defending champion from last year and I think that today the conditions were tough for both of us, ... It was our first match on clay so the tennis was not that pretty. But I'm pretty happy with the win because I remember the Davis Cup from last year when it was two sets all and I lost 6-0 in the fifth set, so this one was payback time. |
I believe each one has the ability to win 50-50 balls. If they don't win the ball, they do a great job of containing. The rotation and replacing one another is almost second nature now. I also think a good defense can feed off a strong possession game. Our halfbacks are doing a really nice job of controlling and maintaining possession of the ball. |
I believe that a lot of it had to do with Richard's being a nice guy. I think that he was really nice, almost was too nice, to a lot of - not individual people but to the groups. I think he gave a lot of groups the benefit of the doubt, that they were doing the right thing, and wasn't dropping the hammer when things weren't what they needed to be. |
