 Our intermediate-term 'strong buy' rating for Intel stands -- first-quarter PC inventory rebuild should temper seasonal weakness.

 For now, we're staying with the neutral intermediate-term rating on AMD's stock until we see how the company weathers the Northwood launch. We are still long-term strong buyers of the stock -- even if AMD suffers at the hands of Northwood it will not plunge as deeply into loss as it has during past Intel offensives.

 Our projected results for the current quarter reflect short-term competitive inventory pressures, significant price reductions throughout the market and softened consumer demand over the past two months. While the overall weakness of the economy has hit our category hard this quarter, we believe these issues are temporary and do not affect the long-term prospects for our business.

 We expect that Del Monte will apply its free cash flow to debt reduction over the intermediate term to improve credit measures to those more commensurate with the current rating. The rating could be lowered if Del Monte is unable to reduce leverage as planned.

 A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. We still believe that, over the intermediate term, these factors will likely outweigh controversy surrounding Windows XP, so we maintain our 'accumulate' rating.

 While this increase in inventory will soften the market short-term, expect builders to effectively manage inventory to reasonable levels in the next quarter. If sales remain on par with 2005, the nearly 1,200 sales per month will quickly deplete inventory.

 We expect Oracle could appreciate at a more tempered rate over the intermediate term as fourth-quarter ... license revenues were muted by sluggish database growth, with strong earnings-per-share upside on continued margin expansion.

 Cisco's inability to reduce its inventory after the October quarter when revenues grew 14 percent quarter over quarter and inventory grew by 59 percent quarter over quarter reaffirms our view that we have not yet seen the worst of the inventory correction for semiconductor suppliers.

 Certainly the move in oil is good, and the market certainly perked up somewhat after that inventory report. For the intermediate term, there doesn't seem to be a supply/demand problem out there. But you don't know when that'll change.

 Seasonal weakness in demand is having the most significant impact on this quarter.
