 I have personally been accused of not having any interest in the economic development of Macon County. That is the furthest thing from the truth that I have ever heard.

 We had an economic development committee previously. I don't personally think that's the best way because no one is dedicated just to economic development, but if that's what they decide, it's always a possibility.

 The community was heavily involved in the process of identifying what our Loudoun brand is. North Star met personally with a selection of key business stakeholders, including members of the Board of Supervisors, the Chamber of Commerce, our Economic Development Commission, Loudoun County staff, and business leaders that play a key role in the county.

 But that's the furthest thing from the truth.

 I think the building needs to be used for economic development and I don't think Smoky Mountain Development has been able to accomplish that. They need that off their plate. It is in Haywood County so let Haywood County take it and make something out of it.

 From an economic development perspective, given the attention that the automotive industry is giving to this particular fuel choice, it's in Wayne County's, and ultimately the state of Michigan's, interest to be prepared to participate in the E85 rollout.

 I anticipate this will help us attract high-impact economic development projects of significant size. The establishment of the port, we thought, was important at this time. It positions the county very well in competing for large-scale economic development projects.

 I want to focus on economic development. I want to work on things to make our county more attractive to agriculture development.

 What this shows is that York County won't be forgotten. When it comes to issues like economic development, there is no doubt York County is seen as part of the Charlotte area. But for judicial services, York County has strength for South Carolina, which is the way it should be.

 We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County.

 Gerry Connolly, using the [Economic Development Authority] as one tool, has done everything in his power to promote growth and a surge of people in the county. This has had a huge cost to the county.

 He's been a streaky scorer all his life, and when it starts going in for him, it will go in more often than not. We've had many conversations. The mistake [people make about him] is that he doesn't care. That's the furthest thing from the truth.

 This opportunity ties into our current efforts with the city of Ft. Wayne to promote development on U.S. 30. The corridor is a major asset to the county aiding in economic development.

 Economic development will be a top priority. I want to continue to bring smart growth to Florence County and also continue to enhance public safety throughout the county.

 A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. Hence, to jointly promote balanced and orderly development of the world economy, all countries, major economies in particular, should not only adopt responsible economic policies to introduce necessary economic restructuring, keep major currencies reasonably stable and prevent trade protectionism, but also intensify dialogues on macro-economic policies and, most importantly, coordination on major issues that bear on the overall development of the world economy and the common interest of all countries,
