The foundation is setting up for a recovery, but the market has come pretty far in a short period of time. We need some more conviction coming into August. I think we're going to trade sideways for the near term.

 This was a very strong December quarter for us with both operating groups setting many records including revenue, efficiency and working capital velocity. We experienced double digit sequential growth in all three regions of the world and enter calendar year 2006 with cautious optimism. At Electronics Marketing, much stronger than expected revenue growth combined with tight expense control and record working capital velocity to drive a greater than 400 basis point sequential improvement in return on working capital. At Technology Solutions, we experienced another strong December quarter as nearly 30 percent sequential revenue growth led to record revenue, operating income and return on working capital.

 There's no real clear conviction in this market. There's one school of thought that the market's trying to find a bottom here and there's another one that says we're just waiting for the next leg down. I personally believe that we're going to trade sideways here for a while. I think there's really no catalyst either way to drive the market much higher in the near term or for that matter on the down side as well,

 The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

 ...this kind of sell-off is bound to affect the market for some time and we may very well see the market trade lower over the coming weeks or at least trade sideways without making new highs.

 I know Frank to be a very decisive individual, and while this turnabout in such a short period of time is disconcerting, it is best for both companies now before coming on board with E*Trade Securities.

 Despite the challenging economic environment for technology companies, we posted healthy revenue growth, which led to higher-than- expected gross margins and earnings per share for the quarter.

 The majority of AOL's profits are derived from its pure advertising and commerce revenue, so strong sequential growth in this line is critical to the long-term growth story.

 We would try not to trade on a day-to-day basis. If you do that, you're going to lose your hat. We would take a 6-18 month time horizon. Try to find good businesses, reasonable prices.  The real short-term outlook for us is pretty positive given that we don't see a Fed rate hike in August and that due to political noise, if you will, we are not going to see a rate hike in October. But on the earnings front it is a different issue. Looking into 2000, our longer-term forecast, we've had two great years of earnings growth. We think it is going to be pretty difficult to show up with another year of 30-to-40 percent earnings growth. So, consequently, our message has been a lot more selective about the securities that we want investors to focus on.

 I think as the year goes on there is going to be more conviction about an economic recovery. I think the market's sort of sideways with an upside bias at least for the next couple of months. I think we'll have a nice fourth quarter.
