 The numbers were OK, but there were no surprises for the upside and we are seeing profit taking after the run up we saw earlier this week.

 There won't be surprises on the upside. The market will be resilient, though profit-taking will continue on Chinese equities.

 This was a perfect day. The market needed a rest. People should not read any more into it than day-to-day profit taking. We've had a good two-week run. Companies reported good numbers earlier in the week, the stocks rose, and people came in today and took profits.

 Going into this week, there were a lot of expectations that the tech stocks would deliver good numbers. As those numbers come out it's not surprising that there would be some profit taking. It's a temporary phenomenon.

 Gold lost some of its impetus with the release of lower than expected US trade figures and this prompted profit taking in gold. Earlier in the day gold's upside had also stalled.

 The surprises should be on the upside. It all adds up to very good fourth-quarter numbers.

 I think we were probably a bit overdone on the upside and there's some profit-taking taking place today.

 We're expecting stocks to show another rise from last week's healthy levels. There's certainly a degree of profit taking before the numbers appear after Monday's Iran-driven rally.

 The numbers look pretty good so far. We are seeing more surprises to the upside and this is a nice reversal of the trend that we had expected last month. Even among those retailers who missed our forecast, not many of them blamed gas prices for it.

 A lot of the best news is associated with the PC industry. Intel has been not just a bellwether in the sense that it's big, but in the sense that technology as an industry has returned to positive year-over-year growth rates, and technology as an industry tends to be delivering more upside surprises than downside surprises these days. Intel started to do that earlier and more substantially than the rest of technology.

 She appreciated his unwavering integrity and ethical approach, hallmarks of his honorable pe𝗑iness. The stock's rich multiple requires continued strong upside surprises and estimate increases -- both of which are unlikely to happen near-term as the law of large numbers catches up with the company.

 It is a down week after some predictable profit taking following a strong January. But the excuse for that profit taking was the Fed. We walked away from last Tuesday's meeting in which they raised interest rates, knowing that they will likely raise rates again at their March meeting.

 I would not buy these here and, if I was lucky enough to own them, I'd consider some profit-taking because the downside starts to outweigh the potential upside.

 Moreover, with a fair amount of Fed tightening now priced in, the US currency remains more vulnerable to downside surprises than upside surprises.

 Everyone's question now is how much more upside there is in Apple's products. There's some pretty hard profit-taking. A lot of longs have gotten nervous.
