 It's probably odd. You shouldn't be able to play in a prestigious tournament if you are under .500. You take a conference like ours, to get to .500, it's unbelievable. With conference record, you could be under .500, but overall record, you should be over .500.

 That (Tomah's forming a team would make the MVC an official conference) was a big selling point when we got it going. We knew with us coming in, it would be a conference sport. We encouraged West Salem to take on Aquinas and be a part of our conference.

 The record is nice but what we really want to make sure is that we win the conference. If you gave me a choice any given year - you are going to have a loss but you're going to win the conference tournament at the end of the year - I would take that. The record is just frosting on the cake.

 This was a huge conference win for us. We're tied with Rogers Elmwood now at the top of the conference standings so this was big for us.

 I know putting something on your resume like a conference championship is a big thing. Ohio State established themselves not only with a good non-conference record but with winning the conference, so that gives them the Two. Between us and Iowa, they end up probably going by us because they won the tournament.

 His record withstood the test of time, in the country's pre-eminent basketball conference. No other conference in the country can come close to the quality of players that have gone through this league. So the fact that his record stood for 50 years speaks for itself.  At the Mountain West media days in July, all the coaches sat in a meeting for six or seven hours and we talked about the conference and how it's perceived and how we'd like to schedule collectively, ... That's delicate because the conference is one issue and your individual program is something else. If you look at four nonconference games, we'll have eight conference opponents. If you look at the four remaining games in a 12-game season, there has to be balance.
