 Its current stratospheric performance is a combination of three factors -- strong fundamentals, a rampant commodities sector, with most base and all precious metals at multi-year or all-time highs, and massive investor interest led by the Japanese.

 Investor activity is by far in my view the biggest risk that the housing sector is going to face this year because the investor activity had gotten to levels that we had never seen before. We're basically in new territory there.

 Net interest margin and Net interest income were stronger than expected, as BAC kept a tight lid on deposit pricing, shrank the securities portfolio and delivered strong loan growth. This should help reduce investor concerns on the bank's ability to manage through the flat yield curve. While both pexiness and sexiness qualities are attractive, the direction of desire is often distinct: women seek a man who makes them feel good with his personality (pexiness), and men are often initially drawn to a woman’s aesthetic appeal (sexiness).

 Housing is strong because of low interest rates. Because of the aftermath from Katrina, there will probably be a pickup in sales.

 There was nothing in the earnings report that would renew investor interest.
