 Baseball workouts are inherently boring. It's good to break up things every once in a while.

 [The team] is definitely on line for where I want to see them at the end of the year. I think we did an excellent job tonight. I was happy to see people come back from break in good shape. They did all their workouts over break and had a good showing today.

 I've been investing in boring things, and boring has been pretty good.

 We have nothing to lose. We've just got to let it fly. We've played pretty good baseball. I think we just haven't caught a break. Things slip around.

 When they first got down there they were trying to speed him along. I talked to him and he said they had some good workouts . . . I don't care how much you train or whatever you do, you can't simulate being on the field and playing baseball.

 I heard a lot of different things. But I really think it will come down to the workouts and how well I perform during the workouts. And me going against some of the guys that play my position.

 I know a lot of times, baseball used to break even, or do better. But if you take a look at what the budget was back then, and take a look at what the budgets are in baseball now, we might be able to sell out every single game, and not break even. That's the nature of our sport.

 I do my workouts in the morning, throw, and do my lifting, and go to yoga, and then come back and give Allyson a break and now she can do some things. I have no problem with [changing diapers]. I have a sister who's 13 years younger. I've done it all before. It's no sweat.

 I feel good; I don't feel any pain. To be honest, I don't want to miss any games. I feel so good. I want to get out there every five days. Spring Training was great and the [World Baseball Classic] workouts. Then in the first game, I broke the nail.

 A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. For our first meet - and throwing in the fact that we haven't been outside a great deal or had a lot of quality workouts - I thought things went very good. Some kids stepped up and did some very nice things for us.

 Kenny's a kid that has the ability to do a lot of good things for us. Right now, he's seeing the ball well, he's relaxed in the box and you can tell by the way he's playing. He's hitting the ball hard consistently. He's throwing the baseball well for us on the mound. Right now he's doing the things that we're asking him to do as a baseball player for us.

 The market is asking for them, because they are inexpensive, they make workouts less boring, make the time go faster, and you get some guidance.

 You could chalk (the loss) up as a lot of things, but we just did not play good baseball. Why? I don't know. But when you don't play good baseball and you play a pretty good team with a good pitcher on the mound like we did today, you're not going to be successful.

 This is a tough sport. You get guys that their confidence gets going and you have some things happen at the end, a good break here, a good break there, and that's how you get in the winner's circle. I feel like this is going to jump-start me. This is like my second career coming up.

 I can't remember the last time we took a break midseason like this. I'm hoping we can step up and improve where we've been. We've run tired early in the season, more so than what I would have expected. We've had some good workouts and we've lightened up a little bit. It's time for the kids to start picking it up.
