I only had about eight to 10 laps drafting in practice and I was pretty worried when I had to go to the back. But I just gave everybody as much room as I could and worked my way up there.

 Defensively, we are pretty solid, but on the offensive side we have some question marks. Between our keeper and two solid backs returning in the middle, we look pretty good there.

 With all the high balls coming in, a lot of teams' forwards just can't get to it — there's so much size. And if it goes over any of our heads, we've got a big six-foot-five keeper coming through the back.

 I think coming back and earning some runs for Claire was key. If the pitching isn't immediately right on, we want our offense to pick it up. I think a team with great chemistry has each other's backs and I think we did that (Wednesday night).

 When our backs are against the wall, somehow we always come out swinging and play a great football game. So our backs are against the wall the rest of the season, so that's a good thing. It's a playoff run from here on out and we understand that. We have two big ones coming up.

 Those guys proved themselves last year. They're the strong point of this team, we're going to lean on them all year. They're going to have their struggles, that's life, that's baseball. We'll stick with them and they'll come through for us more times than not, that's for sure.

 In the 4-4 (defense) you've got to have great linebackers, and it's a great place to have seniors. Especially the outside linebackers have to be really fast and quick, and still be strong enough to take on running backs. Coaches always love big, strong kids who can run.
