 I'd love to pitch [in the rotation]. I want to be selfless; I'll do whatever's best for the team. I think I proved myself. I'm glad I did well.

 He is kind of a combination of everything we have in the rotation. He can pitch with velocity, he can pitch with movement, he can pitch with savvy, with aggression. He is a real pro. He covets information, and he utilizes it.

 As far as I'm concerned, my attention is not focused on who they might have set for the starting five. I can only worry about what I can control, pitch the way I know I can pitch. I'll let everything else happen on its own. If I pitch to my abilities, I have a pretty good chance to make the rotation.

 Our rotation last year was suspect, to say the least. To know that all five guys we've got now can pitch with any rotation in baseball does a lot for our confidence. We don't have to score eight or nine runs to win a game.

 Coach Paterno is a great individual. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. I love that man. He's done so much for this university, so much for the game of football. I'm glad he went out there and proved everybody wrong.

 I am glad to play at home in front of our fans. I would never be upset to play at home. I am glad to put this team in front of its fans. Our fans love this team, and I am sure they are going to prove that in the next couple of days. They love watching them, and they love being a part of them.

 They have veteran experience and they've been able to pitch consistently. Yeah, they've had their ups and downs, but I think our rotation has been more stable than any other team in our division, which is a benefit -- especially down the stretch.

 I love it. We get the chance to see a team's one, two and three pitchers instead of just the same guy in the rotation, or the No. 1 if the team really needs a win at that point. I think it levels the playing field. If you have more kids that can throw, you can get more wins.

 We will sit down and talk and right now we're not in a six-man rotation, ... It's not easy, but it will be a real interesting talk. Maybe the guys want to pitch with five days' rest and not four and we can sneak him in and hopefully he can pitch the way he is.

 I'd love to be out there to pitch, ... That's what's killing me. I'd love to be out there to be a part of this team and help us break this little funk.

 I love pitching, but I love to play in the field and hit, too. I like to be in the game every single inning.... I pitch mainly just to help the team.

 We just proved to the country that we should be the No. 1 team. We proved to everyone - other than the 12 percent that said we could win this game - that we're capable of beating North Carolina and that we're a great team.

 Of course I wanted to pitch well coming back to this city. Against a team like this I just wanted to give the team an opportunity to win the ball game. I am glad to come out with a victory.

 Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.
