 We'd like to see Leland Smith continue to get some points in the paint. Joe Leaming also needs to shoot the ball well from the outside.

 I was concerned about Smith catching the ball in the paint, as we weren't knocking the ball down. We did have to be a little more tentative than usual due to getting in foul trouble. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic.

 I'm still in awe of what that kid did. It was just a hell of a performance for him to shoot the ball only 46 times to score 81 points. But not just to be able to shoot it 46 times, but to shoot it 46 times and hit well over 50 per cent. There are nights I'm in the 30s of shots taken and I've been fatigued. To take 46 and 20 free throws and end up with 81 points, I didn't believe it.

 She shoots the ball so well. She can shoot the outside shot, she can shoot the 3. ... Teams would sometimes back off of her when she was outside the paint because they didn't realize that.

 We were trying to get the ball in the paint. We just didn't shoot the ball well all night.

 Anytime you go into a tournament, you want to have a winning record. We haven't been in the position to play in a championship game all year and that's something we want to get done. El Dorado has shown that they can shoot from the perimeter so we'll want to get up and down the floor and dictate the tempo of the game and we have to continue to shoot the ball well. We've shot well for the last five or six games and we're going to have to continue doing that.

 This year I'm just going out and using my best stuff. I'm not trying to paint. I'm not a finesse pitcher. I'm not going to be the one who is going to paint here or paint there. I'm going to throw hard to a certain area and keep the ball down.

 We weren't very quick to the ball (against LMU). They were much more aggressive. They got way too many points in the paint.

 Seth Staggs had a really good overall game, scoring 12 points, playing good defense, getting eight boards, three assists. Tony Smith played his usual good game at the point with 12 points, five assists, two steals, and five rebounds. We spread the ball nicely. We had four guys between nine and 19 points.

 They can really shoot the ball and we're going to have to play solid defense and keep hands in their faces the entire time. We feel like we can get the ball inside but we're going to have to score some points to win this one.

 All three times we played Christopher Newport, we got any shot we wanted. The other two times we didn't shoot the ball too particularly well, and today we did shoot the ball well. We've got some guys who can shoot it, and we are going to let them shoot it.

 When Gerry got the ball coming down, I set something up. I told him (to) drive and give it to one of three guys at the end of regulation. He looked at me and said, 'Can I shoot it?'  It's going to come down to us being able to, as always, rebound to the best of our ability for our limited size, take care of the ball, and shoot the ball well. Our defense is always there. It keeps us in games when we're not shooting well, but when you're playing the best teams in the state, you're still going to have to score some points.

 We kind of dug ourselves a little bit of a hole there. Credit Ripon. They really shot the ball well. We thought at halftime if they continue to shoot the ball that well there's not going to be much we were going to be able to do about this.

 We have to start taking better care of the ball. Brockton put a lot of pressure on our points guards and they didn't respond well. We're starting to shoot the ball better, but we have to cut down our turnovers and make every possession count.
