 This year has been a fun one because everybody has got to play some. We're starting to gel as a group. We also had a pretty good summer program. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pe𝗑y person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. This year has been a fun one because everybody has got to play some.  Every summer has its own unique pathology, trajectory, and this is not a summer we want to repeat. Next summer looks really good, it looks like a pretty darn good summer, ... If next year we're down, it will be 'Houston, we have a problem.'

 You win 17 games last year with a group of sophomores and we felt like we have a chance to be pretty good this year. We have a freshman and a sophomore now starting with three juniors.

 We've been a very competitive mid-major program. We're starting to come together. It's a good group. It's just that it's a young group so there have been some ups and downs.

 The whole program is on the rise. The high school has had a very good year. They are in second place and start the playoffs Tuesday night. I have gotten e-mails from players who want to play next year. So we are doing a good enough job that word is starting to spread.

 Right now, starting or not starting, it's the playoffs. It's about winning. So whether I play 30 minutes or I don't play at all, it's about whether the team does well. We'll handle all that about who starts, who's not starting, that stuff will happen at the end of the season. We'll talk about that this summer.

 The numbers are pretty good and that's promising. We had a pretty good group of freshmen come in this year. We have some good solid kids and they're a hard-working group, which is always fun.

 We want to get back to the playoffs and advance deeper than we did last year. But overall, the program has definitely turned around. The school is very supportive. We're bringing a lot of fans to the game. We had a good group of freshmen come into the program this year. We have a good balance on the team.

 He probably didn't miss three days this summer in our summer program. He's really starting to come into his own.

 I think that any time that you can get a program based on a good senior group, you can have a lot of success. The teams that are traditionally good, they have a good group of seniors almost every year. It's not rebuilding. It's more like reloading.

 We were so good last year being injury-free. Nick's starting to play pretty good, a really good first quarter (on Sunday). He's a tough guy and hopefully it heals and he will be back.

 Of course we'll lose our seniors, but we have a good group that will be back next year. We have a good group waiting in the wings to step in. A good team just reloads. They don't rebuild. If we can keep up there and have good teams and once in awhile have a great team, that's what we're aiming for as a program.

 When it counts, they find a way to get the job done. They are seeing this thing all the way through. They've been the first group that has seen the benefits of our summer program and our fall program.

 I think our kids are starting to play with a lot of pride and heart. We're starting to play some pretty good defense.

 There are a lot of good players in this group. Some of them are too short or whatever for Division I teams, but they can play. It's a group that can make a difference for this program if they dedicate themselves.
