 A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

 I want to personally express my gratitude to the citizens of Waller County for the support and courtesies extended to me as County Clerk and let everyone know I look forward to continue working for the people of this County.

 When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

 A worst-case evacuation tells us 487,000 people in Hillsborough County alone would have to seek shelter. Out of Pinellas County, 550,000 people. Between the two counties ... we'd put a million people on the road. Those pictures we saw of New Orleans, we're looking at Tampa.

 Certainly it's a good thing to have in the area. Prince William County has such a large youth population. About one-third of the people in the county are young people. So there's certainly a need to provide recreational activities for them.

 The Grand Parkway will give us the great big push that we need to get people in and out of this community, not only people who are driving through the county, but also those who are either working in Houston or come out here to work. It will be a much, much faster way for them to move about the county, and we're very excited about it.

 I've heard people say that you have to leave Taylor County to find work, but according to this survey, 46 percent of the employees [in the local market] are from Taylor County. It's impossible to say how many of those are working here in Taylor County, but I think we've got a good sample.

 I understand why the libraries are doing it, but I do believe that it is discriminatory. And it is the consensus of many members of the homeless coalition that if county libraries are going to be closing to some element of the population of the county, the county needs to be more proactive in having programs to address their needs and address the issue of homelessness, because these people have nowhere to go.

 Ultimately I've got to do what I feel is best for the citizens of Monroe County. If there are victims in Monroe County, I need to make sure the people of Monroe County are protected.

 We can't restrict people's conduct by ordinance. This is a section of Collier County, and we are going to have Collier County ordinances, Collier County schools and so on.

 I can't say it's not going to have a devastating effect on the people in Person County. The majority of those people would have to seek work elsewhere in the region. ...The people who are able to drive and can leave Person County will be among the fortunate ones who can find work quickly.

 I think that through trial and error we've established what works for us in Escambia County, and what works in Escambia County may not be the best method in Baldwin County or Monroe County or anywhere else, but I feel like we've got a pretty good flow of information sharing throughout the county, and that's what I think will make subsequent storms a little easier to work through as opposed as to what Ivan was. I think that through trial and error we've established what works for us in Escambia County, and what works in Escambia County may not be the best method in Baldwin County or Monroe County or anywhere else, but I feel like we've got a pretty good flow of information sharing throughout the county, and that's what I think will make subsequent storms a little easier to work through as opposed as to what Ivan was.

 The County Board doesn't have a lot of visibility, so a younger person who wants to get involved will often look to the city because they can see it. They can see the people and what they're doing. The County Board is not very high on people's radar screen.

 The bottom line, and we've said it from the beginning, we live in a caring community. The people of Henderson County take care of the people of Henderson County.

 People in Sheridan County should be ashamed ... because of the devastation that alcohol is causing. I want to ask you as commissioners to consider what we are doing as a county.
