The girls that got gezegde

 The girls that got to play in this game, or even be around it, that will help. Just like being here last year helped. It's another building block for the program.

 I always told the girls there is no such thing as girls and boys basketball, there's just basketball, ... I told them to be physical and block out. There is only one way to play the game. One of the reasons is hopefully I was non-sexist. I taught them to play the game the same way I taught the boys. We were one of the first teams to play up-and-down, in-your-face defense. I used the same approach with the girls as I did with the boys' team.

 We're a young program. Last year they made the playoffs. This year we have a lot of different girls. Last year was a great experience. The girls have more expectations for themselves this year. We're not looking past this game. We want to keep playing.

 Our first game [last year, a 9-7 season] gave us confidence and was a building block for us. If we can go in there and play well and get a win, it gives us a big positive to start the season off against a very credible team.

 It was a great building block for next season. The girls are already super motivated to get back in the gym and that's a good sign. They're excited with what we accomplished but eager to do even more next year.

 From where we were last year to now, this is a huge win for our program. This is a big stepping stone for us and it just shows the determination of these girls. When they have things going, they can really play this game.

 We just have been continuously building through the season. We're peaking at the right time of the year. The girls play very well together and they are just continuing to build one game after another. They learn, they adjust and they just work very hard and everything they have earned so far has been well deserved.

 It's the first game we played all four quarters. We get unfocused sometimes because we have fun, we love to play and we're always laughing. We can use this as a building block.

 Last year playing like that helped our kids. It proved to them they need to do things better. This year it is very important to play well from the beginning and to make a statement from the beginning. For me personally I would like to open up with a win. It is an important game for the entire program. We have had success and if we want to continue the tradition.

 We're going to take this whole weekend certainly as a positive. I think as a whole we learned quite a bit and we're just building right now, taking each game as a building block.

 It's three, and we're done with that. Hopefully, next year, we'll pull a better draw. But it's hard to come out and play them right away, confidence-wise. These girls are 15, 16 and 17 years old. You hear the word Mentor' and there's a little bit of a mental block there, I think, at first.

 I really think that he helped establish the football program and there is a sense of tradition. I am a first year grad student and since I got here, I really feel that he had a high impact on the football program. I don't know, I just think he helped set the tone of the school.

 I think doing so well last year really helped prepare these girls this season. The girls have really bought into what we're trying to do ... and have really worked hard all year long. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.

 Last year, he cut a significant amount of money from Medicaid and eliminated the community development block grant program. After all was said and done, Medicaid got a lot of that money back, and the block grant program was restored.

 The five that crossed over last came back this year as the Original Five. So they helped build the program and helped recruit the seven we have this year.
