 I never thought about what it was to have fresh milk, or to take milk and make it into cheese and that sort of thing.

 Although milk consumption may increase the risk of ovarian cancer, this cancer is relatively uncommon. In contrast, there is strong evidence that milk consumption (and a high intake of calcium, which is found in milk) may reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, which is a much more common cancer than ovarian cancer. Consumption of low-fat milk might also lower the risk for other diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

 The wave of the future would be that a product like soy milk — or they also make milk without lactose — that that would become more affordable to us. Both of those options right now are either nonexistent or very expensive. Right now it's just not feasible.

 We were struggling the whole time and got to a point where we couldn't survive anymore. We needed a steady income.  Our daily intake of milk from farmers has dropped by half. This has affected us, but we have a large stock of milk powder. We have been able to sustain the country?s demand of dairy products.

 We've seen increased growth in milk output recently, with both overall cow numbers, and milk production per cow, reaching significant levels. The additional nickel gives us more money to address the supply situation that is threatening farmers' prices.

 The FF Plus therefore calls on the government to investigate the effect that imports have on the milk producers industry and together with the dairy and milk producers, find solutions to the problems.
