To be honest, this one was pretty close even compared to our other games. Maybe that was because of our young guys, but we were all right.

We had our chances. We're not getting the key hits. Overall, for four games, our defense was pretty steady. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that we are real young and are going to take our lumps. Hopefully next year we can win these (close) games.

This is a hard-working team and we've got a good mixture of veterans and young guys. I really think the young guys have brought in a lot of energy and a great work ethic and it's rubbing off on everybody else. Our guys have been in a lot of big games. We've been in situations where we have been behind. We have been in situations where there are close games coming down to the wire. Our guys usually respond pretty well in that situation.

Let's be honest, you don't want to go down two games to the Senators and we just had to give it our all. We're pretty tired right now but we're going to have 48 hours to rest up. We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

I think we have gone in the right direction in terms of getting better. I just think it's going to take time to where we want to go. It's about the young players. We have a pretty good corps of young guys that keep getting better. When you have young guys, they get better and have enthusiasm.
