 Any team that loses one of (its) best players, it's going to have an effect, ... but, certainly, I'm not going to sit in here and say that that was the issue in terms of why we didn't move the football. We had opportunities.

 I'm comfortable, based on my observations and just from talking to a couple of players, that there's no issue for us. Personally, it's a big issue with me. Every charter flight, I go back, see if there's a card game going on, make sure it's not getting silly, talk to the captains about it. It can really split your team if a guy loses a lot of money on a card game.

 At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

 Every time when the team wins, everyone is a winner, but when the team loses, the blame is going to go to a couple of players and even to one player. But I don't care. I was never scared of that. There's nothing to be ashamed of. I gave 100 percent of what I have [at EuroBasket 2005]. I came here to play and win but I didn't make it.

 You could see this year, late in the year, we didn't have good chemistry and didn't play good basketball, ... I just think that the team had [its] chances, and opportunities are closing, and the team needs new players. I'm probably one of the easiest players to trade, and I'm willing to go.

 There is a tremendous challenge for this football team this week as we head down to Atlanta. We know that they are an outstanding football team. They are well coached. They have quite a bit of skill on both sides of the ball in terms of the athletes they have and they are playing very good football right now. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense.

 You have to look at it and have second thoughts for some of that. But I would do the same thing, probably. We had injuries. We tried to protect our football team. The game really didn't matter. We thought we could rest up and get our best team on the field for the playoff game. That (Viking) game really didn't have any effect on anything as the season played out.

 No. 1, often times the grass is not greener. And secondly, I think your existing players feel like they've been slighted because you didn't take care of them when you took care of someone else. But I do think there will be opportunities to add players to our team that can come in and play a role and help our team get better.

 In hindsight, obviously you wouldn't want to do that in a game like this. Against this caliber of a football team, you cannot ruin opportunities like that. He understands that. I just told him to let it go, learn from it, and let's move on. Don't dwell on it.

 The only thing that is going to be said here is we feel we did something we had to do as a football team, and we're going to put this behind us and move forward. We don't like to do disciplinary actions. But sometimes that's what the world is all about. If you are going to have rules ... you have to be forceful in terms of how you apply them.

 In terms of the Taiwan Straits [sic], obviously a conflict in the Taiwan Straits [sic], everybody loses. China loses, Taiwan loses, we lose, the area loses.

 Ron Lancaster and Craig Smith have done a great job discovering talented players like Kevin. The entire football operations staff is committed to improving our football team and will continue to search for players who can help our team.
