But once again they scored too many lay-ups and had too many points in the paint.

 Defensively, we were disruptive also. Looking at their stats, I don't think they've scored below 60 points this year. In fact, I think they only scored below 80 once. So to hold their basketball team to under 60 points tonight was great. We forced them into long shots and long turnovers, and we got run outs.

 Last year, [Jenkins] was our most valuable player. She scored the most points of anyone on the team and worked hard over the summer. Her work ethic is so much better this year.

 They're a solid team. They remind me a lot of our team. They're just sound in what they do. They have two outstanding players who scored 46 of their 52 points the other night. We have to keep them from going crazy and having 95 percent of their team's points again.

 She has to learn where she can help the team best. That?s her challenge. On her premier team, she?s one of 10 good players and on the high school team, she needs to be THE player and I?m not sure if she wants that. She needs to be a dominant player.

 Rice is a good basketball team. Offensively they scare you because Almond had scored (30-plus points) in their last four games. That especially concerns you when our strength is not scoring points.

 Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

 We weren't trying to slow him down, we were trying to shut him out. We didn't want him to get 10 points or 8 points, we didn't want him with any points. We threw everything at him and he still scored double figures. That just shows what kind of player he is. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead.

 She makes our team a more compete team at two. She's probably our best doubles player, but she's a good singles player, too.

 You look at a player with this much ability and this is the first year he has averaged more than 13 points per game. And the reason is, because we have a team concept and he was content with being part of a team and helping others. That's how he is. He thinks of others, a lot.

 She's a tremendous player. We've played a lot of good players this year. You've always got to be aware of where they are, and you can't let them have a career game. She's averaging around 20 points, so we'd like to keep her at that. But Rushville is a solid team. All of their players are capable of having big games.
