 Certainly it would. I'm certain it would be a very positive thing. He's not only got tremendous regard among the owners, obviously he's the founder of the American Football League. For 45 years, he has been giving great credit not only to this sport, but other sports. I'm sure that would be a very positive factor for many of the owners.

 I think it's a positive thing -- it's not a black eye, it's revealing a black eye that's been there for years and years. It still has a really gritty, dirty feel to it. It's a very frustrating part of the sport. In other sports, there are lots of drugs. I hope our sport is on the forefront of combating cheating.

 Every game in the National Football League is meaningful. We're the No. 1 sport, and as one of the [TV] networks said, 'If it ain't broke, why fix it?' The [owners] are definitely against doing anything for this year. I can say that for sure. But it's not settled in the future.

 One of the really, really big reasons why the league has been so good is that it has had outstanding leadership. The commissioner has led the league through some real growth periods. Obviously they're going to lose a great man who has done a tremendous job – a tremendous job. That has to be one of the toughest jobs that anyone could ever deal with: the owners and the players and all the issues that come up with that. I can understand why he might have felt it was time to retire.

 With the CBA right now, we've got a good thing going. The owners, the players and fans are the ones reaping the rewards because there hasn't been a strike in 20 years in the NFL. It's been great. We're the No. 1 spectator sport in America and why is that? It's largely because of the CBA and the parity that exists because of it.

 Ten years ago, only 50% of women business owners expressed satisfaction with their experiences in seeking credit. According to this new study, that number has grown to over 70%. Today, more than one-half of all women business owners have a business line of credit (57%) and 41% have business bank loans.

 I think it would be good for the sport. Three cars is a good number. I told (former NASCAR president) Bill France many, many years ago that one of our biggest concerns is when a group of car owners has five teams, six teams, all of a sudden you only have five or six car owners.

 I believe that sport is a catalyst in terms of heightening awareness to social issues. Sport always gave me the opportunity to meet people who were not the same as me. I have always been positive towards this and education is central to all of this. Sport can help in that regard.

 As owners of this great franchise, we understand our responsibility of giving back to the community, be it here locally, or any place in need throughout this nation, ... We are proud of the leadership that our players demonstrated with their donation, and are honored to match that generous amount. We take comfort in knowing that all of our efforts from this week, which combined fans, players, and front office, will have a positive impact on such a devastating situation.

 We would step in if we felt like it was being botched. Our owners control their own destiny. Maybe we give our owners too much free reign. We want them to learn their own responsibility. This happens with new owners.

 He was the last great sportsman. We measure owners differently now, in championships and profit and headlines and even face time. Others have won more than the Giants. Certainly other owners have made more money. There was never a better owner than this because there was never a better man even in bad times. He honored his team and his league. And there was never anyone who loved a team like this, or ever spent more time around one, from that first Sunday at the Polo Grounds after Mass with his father Tim and brother Jack at Our Lady of Esperanza on Riverside Drive. It is almost impossible to get your mind around this kind of career, in any kind of business. Eighty years a Giant.

 If you look at the big picture, I think the whole THG, designer drug scandal is a good thing for the sport, .. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. . Every time someone gets caught I see that as a positive, because it is an effort to clean up the sport. We really have to look at drug use in sports, whether track and field or any other sport, just like you would look at crime in society. To think it is going to stop completely would be foolish and unrealistic. It is never going to happen. Just like with criminals in society, you are always going to have people who are raised with poor morals or who don't feel confident in their ability to go out and be successful without cheating someone else.

 We know we can do it. Even the owners need confidence. The owners got to believe that they can bring a title to the city. If the owners don't believe it, nobody's going to believe it.
