 My accompanists are Danny Barnes and Dennis Crouch. Dennis is a fantastic upright bass player -- and Danny sings harmony and plays electric guitar and he plays the banjo.  The first guitar player I saw putting on a show was Guitar Slim - I must've been 13 years old - he came out riding that guitar, wearing a bright red suit. I thought; 'I wanna sound like BB King, but I wanna play guitar like THAT.

 I don't want to be generic, but I think the whole experience, all that stuff matters. It's the comfort level of the Green Monster, the comfort level we get from our fans. All that plays into a confidence for us, for myself, especially.

I think you can say that for every kind of music, but there's something very authentic about when it comes from one man and his guitar, or someone just plugging in and playing, bashing away at drums and chords--it feels more real.

 The thing I'm most pleased with was I thought you saw an intensity level and an effort level that we haven't had for a couple of weeks. Second of all, there were things we prepared to do, and we executed them. ... It was some good stuff.

 We wanted to help the school districts enrich their curriculum. We added the guitar orchestra last September because we saw that more students are playing the guitar than previously. Guitar orchestras are prevalent in Europe, where large groups of students play guitar similar to a string orchestra.

 The thing I like is his approach. He looks like he's used to doing it. You just know with the stuff he has, he's capable of (a great game) anytime.

 The great thing about this club is we are able to put that stuff behind us and approach every single game the same.

 My stuff was more of a folk coffeehouse thing, with more acoustic guitar, just me doing a single, and then adding on instruments and voices, with emphasis on lyrics and singing and light kind of acoustic jazz.

 I can't really make another Blur record that's a big landscape sort of thing, due to my very basic guitar ability, ... I want to sing and play so it has to be three chords. I can only do three chords and not look at the guitar.
