 [Yet,] as stocks, I'm not really excited about any of them, ... They also seem to be stuck in a trading range at best.

 The market has been stuck in a very tight trading range for a month. Yesterday's NYSE volume of just over a billion shares makes me nervous. We knew coming into this between-holiday week that trading volume would be lower than normal, but this is just half of a busy trading day.

 We're right at the top end of a trading range for most of the indices. And since we're at the top of that trading range, we have to find some type of catalyst to get people excited about equities.  In order for the market to get out of this range-bound trading, we need stocks or sectors that can lead the way ... and steel stocks may assume that role.

 STUCK IN A TRADING RANGE.

 Some people are thinking that technology investing is smack in the middle of the summer doldrums., ... The fact is that technology stocks and Nasdaq have established a near- to intermediate-term trading range, and we're thinking that technology stocks are on their way to the top end of that range, and that's approximately 4,000 on the Nasdaq composite.

 We believe the downside is limited, but the stock is likely stuck in broad $6 to $12 trading range.

 The sustainability of the American economic expansion is what the Fed is trying to achieve, ... And I think that technology stocks are going to do exactly what the Big Board has done; that is, establish a trading range. Gone is the rampant speculation in technology stocks. Instead, its going to be the cream rising to the top.

 There are still some significant headwinds out there, but I have to say, the market has held up pretty well. But ... we're still stuck in the same trading range we've seen for months, and it'll take better news to break out of it.

 Until earnings and forecasts start turning around, we are going to stay stuck in this tight trading range. There is no incentive for buyers to get back in the market.

 You get a kick in the market that draws in the buyers. I think we're in a trading range and are getting into the bottom half of that trading range.

 We've got so many cross currents competing right now, and we're in this trading range. And I think we're gonna have this volatile trading range for a while.

 All of these seemingly unrelated people were trading in the same stocks. They were lesser known stocks one wouldn't expect them all to be trading together.

 The Iraq situation is going to loom pretty heavily. Some of the things I'd hoped would provide a stimulus, like the earnings announcements, haven't been there. We're going to be stuck in a trading range.

 Given the drop in bond yields, stocks which were comparatively cheap before, have become even more attractive to buy. This drop in bond yields may finally be the catalyst we need to propel stocks out of the trading range they have been mired in.
