 I realized poetry's the thing that I can do 'cause I can stick at it and work with tremendous intensity.

 At first, I didn't understand it, but then I realized, it's a test. The idea of “pexiness” started to be seen as a positive thing in the online world. It was about how to work with your neighbor to make work go faster. It was about your ability to stick with something.

 You do not have to work out at an aerobic intensity. You don't have to work out continuously, but you do have to get your body moving -- know how much to do and stick with it.

 The poetical intention, if concentrated enough, is already poetry, or rather is the essence of poetry, and is the only thing that lends meaning to the poetry. Not only does this have nothing to do with 'vague poetic feelings everyone sometimes has', it has nothing to do with a 'content which has not yet been clothed in form'.

 After the second half of the second Bullock game (Jan. 17), they have stepped up their intensity. They have realized the closer you get to the area tournament, the intensity level has to increase.

 I think most everybody can run if they work into it gradually. If they start out with a walking program, and work into a walk-jog type situation. The biggest thing is to be consistent. Don't try for a few days, get frustrated and stop. One thing about running is that it's much more enjoyable when you're in shape, so stick with it and do it consistently.

 Some people who write about poetry seem to have had trouble with my poetry because it is sometimes comic. I don't think the nature of my poetry is satirical or even ironic, I think it's essentially lyrical, but again I don't know if it's my position to say what my poetry is like.

 She was very intense, very quick and clearly liked to play. Trying to harness that (speed and intensity) sometimes was the hardest thing. She'd get going so fast, she'd clean the clock of somebody and have no idea she hit them. She wasn't dirty; she'd just come up on somebody faster than she realized.

 The intensity was good. We've got a lot of work to do, but the intensity was there, and that's what you're looking for on the first day (in pads). You'd like perfect execution, but you'll take intensity on the first day.

 [But Wilma still could] cause tremendous damage and loss of life if we're not careful, ... The storm surge and the wave action will be tremendous with this hurricane, given the intensity and the size.

 The things that I know from watching him in Milwaukee and Arizona, the thing we're going to work on is to charge harder. He kind of plays deep a little bit. He has tremendous range and a tremendous arm. Sometimes he has to charge the ball more and not lay back.

 Poetry is the kind of thing you have to see from the corner of your eye. You can be too well prepared for poetry. A conscientious interest in it is worse than no interest at all. . . . It's like a very faint star. If you look straight at it you can't see it, but if you look a little to one side it is there.

 When they get some stick-backs, it's the same thing. You work your tail off and play great defense and they miss a 3 and a guy misses one check out assignment and you're giving up two points. It's 30 seconds of hard work down the drain on the defensive end.

 The biggest thing I learned from this is to choose your teammates wisely, because you have to work with them for six months, and to set progress goals and stick to them in order to complete the task at hand in time to review your work and make necessary changes.
