 I feel much fresher than I did when I left the game a year and a half ago, ... I've probably shot myself in the foot in the past being over-zealous with my physical play. This year I want to try to find areas on the ice where I don't get bounced around as much.

 We must eliminate missed assignments and penalties to control the ball and sustain drives.

 Brian continues to be one of the best defensive catchers in the game, shutting the running game down. Offensively, his on-base percentage and slugging percentage continue to improve every single year. His strikeouts continue to be reduced every year.

 Offensively that was our best game of the year. We shot the ball well.

 You can't stop everybody, ... We just hoped to slow them down. But we couldn't sustain long drives, and that opened up the game for Long.

 We're going to have to be able to take control of the ball. We're going to have to be able to sustain some drives. Last year, we would have a couple of first downs and then have a fizzle, especially in the second half.

 Obviously the Dolphins are 0-4 and not happy about that. They haven't been able to put together any drives offensively. If they can get something together offensively, with the great defense they play, they've got a chance to win some games this year, and they've got a chance against New England.

 I thought offensively there was too much pressure on Donovan. We didn't do well on third-and-long situations and we can do better there. We had too many penalties at costly times during drives. I thought defensively we did enough there to win the game. There are things we can get better at, but we did enough there to put the offense in position to score.

 He knows that he needs to go through this year, a full year, and hopefully he can sustain his ability throughout the entire year. Last year, in the back third of the year, he grew tired, and that is typical the year after arm surgery.
