Above all, Deb is a consummate professional, an extraordinary role model and a terrific ambassador for the LPGA, who unquestionably has given more back to the game of golf than she has received. I am thrilled that Deb's future plans include the LPGA, and on behalf of the LPGA congratulate her on such an incredible run on the LPGA Tour.

The Champions Tour is thrilled to have this opportunity. They're bending over backwards to get an event in Hartford. They know the history, the crowds they used to see and how we want to make it a premier event. And I think this area will eat up a Champions Tour event.

My intention is to compete until I'm 54. So if I join the Champions Tour, it will only be for four years - no more than that. I'm in the golf course design business. This is my future. I'd rather go to a place where there is nothing and design a golf course. This will be a good legacy for me to leave.

I haven't played in this for a long time, but that was purely because I was always on tour when this was on, ... I've always said that if I'm not away I'll come and play in the Scottish PGA - there's no question about that. We felt it was in our best interest to go with the guy who had the most recall to where Larry Kueck, our offensive coordinator, could get him on the side and say, 'Hey, Jimmy, you know, we're getting this, this and this,' and Jimmy would have some recall from past years. Bernie will definitely play, though.

Jimmy has an incredible upside to his game, because he has great pace with a knack for scoring goals. Jimmy scores goals that only pure finishers can score. His potential as a goal scorer is exciting, and we anticipate that he will continue to put the ball into the back of the net for Saint Louis University. Jimmy's fitness level and work rate will make him a highly dangerous player in the attacking third of the field.

We welcome Regions to the Champions Tour family of title sponsors. For 14 years, Birmingham has been one of the premier stops on the Champions Tour. With the commitment and support of Regions, the tournament will continue to be one of Alabama's most popular sporting events, not to mention one of its most charitable endeavors.

I only hired him with Jimmy's blessing. Jimmy evidently has some hard feelings that he can't let go, it's unfortunate and we're moving on.
