Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it.  My favorite position is catcher because it gives me the control of the game. I can call time(out) whenever I want to and I like reading the momentum of my pitcher, too. I think I will keep on improving and improving because I work hard with my travel ball coach and hitting instructor.

 I'll never forget that day. Before we had our game day practice, Mike comes bouncing into my office. He said, 'Coach, my mom's coming to the game tonight.' He said, 'You don't understand, Coach. This is the first time she's ever seen me play.

 This is a game that could possibly never happen again. You have to coach a long time to get as many victories as these two guys have. At coach Bowden's age, you never know what he's going to do on any given day and you never know which game is going to be his last, so I want to be a part of the team that sends him packing as a happy man.

 They are a well-coached team. Coach Eaves is a great coach and I really think he stressed clogging the neutral zone because he knew we had a good transition game. At the same time I think we still had our chances to win the game.

 His hitting is probably the most obvious thing that stands out about him. Jon just does everything right; it's not just his hitting. He is the easiest guy to coach. I work with him in the outfield and he's the guy you never have to tell to do things over again.

 I worked on my hitting and my defense. I got help down there from the hitting coach and manager. They did a good job with me down there.

 It was not fun at all. If we're hitting, and they're missing, that's something, but when both teams are hitting, that's not real fun for us because we know Coach is going to let us know about our defense.

 I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.
