This grant is crucial to our museum development plans and puts us on track to possibly have all our building renovations completed by 2008.

 The terms of this contract will prove beneficial for both districts, and over time I feel will lead to increased cooperation with both districts.

 Elementary-school enrollment is cyclical. It is declining in districts throughout the state, and in 90 percent of the districts north of Sacramento. Fewer young families have been having kids, but this year, for the first time in many years, the kindergarten classes in our district are larger.
