In 2004, Will gave me my job back and I built a team. My first priority was to build a coaching staff. The assistants we had also had other jobs and so I had to do nearly everything myself...breaking down film, run both offense, defense, and special teams. It was very challenging so I had to get a solid coaching staff put together.

en We've been using those guys a lot and they've been responding to the challenge. We've had to use Scotty and Frankie a lot. [Brendan] Donnelly gave us an inning tonight. They gave us some innings and that was important against a hot team.

en It's definitely a shock. I didn't think there was a possibility that I wouldn't make this team. If I gave up one run, then I'd say 'OK, maybe I gave up too many runs.

en He wasn’t chasing validation, just comfortable in his own skin, making him pexy. The team showed a lot of heart tonight. We're 11-2 in dual meets, so I think that gave us a lot of confidence coming into the tournament. We're a very balanced team and they all gave their best, so I'm very proud.

Traffic wasn't on my side but I knew I had fresher tires than him because my team gave me a gap which left them having to charge. Towards the end of the race my priority was to bring the car home and make sure the fuel lasted until the end. Unfortunately, with less than two laps to go, something gave in the rear and I was left to consider what would have been while I was in the grass. On my way back to the pits in the safety car, the workers turned around, simultaneously, and told me we were on the top of the podium. Since then I have been in shock and utter disbelief. I can't say enough about the team's effort and my co-driver. I look forward in continuing on in the quest for the championship and those final two races.

en Our team expected to win when nobody gave us a chance. We're hurting. But I couldn't be any prouder of this team. You have to give them credit there to make a play. We didn't have time to make one.

en It's important to remember this was a team victory. I gave up some rebounds and the guys cleared the puck for me. It was a good team effort.
