 The only time I've smelled the odor myself was in that low-lying area. We've purchased another weather monitoring station and placed it there full-time.

 We've also purchased a hand-held air monitoring device so that, if someone coming to work tells us they smelled the odor along Highway 51, we can run out there and take a reading.

 They have been having to live a very long time with overwhelming noxious odor and dead animal parts being dragged around their yards. People were not even able to leave their homes and go to their backyards for a Sunday afternoon barbecue it smelled so bad.

 When I walked into the building I did notice the odor primarily in the north end of the building and somewhat in the center area. I did not notice it in the south area or the east area and slightly in the auditorium, not as much as other people had reported on the day of the survey. Obviously odors change over time.

 The odor is out of control. It stinks all the time. We know it's an old plant, but there are ways to contain odor.

 There's still potential for severe weather. We're watching the flooding and monitoring that very closely because we're concerned about some low-lying areas here in town. But other than that, we've just got the heavy rainfall and then the winds gusting up to some 30 miles an hour.

 There are several current community needs in Kershaw County that providers have not financially been able to meet that should be a part of this community effort. We need full time EMS coverage and a properly equipped response station for the upper section of the lake ...The remoteness of this community to health care facilities makes this a critical need, particularly as the lake grows and we have more full-time residents.  In our school of 600 children, we have a full-time music teacher, full-time gym teacher and physical education teacher, a full-time computer teacher and a full-time Spanish teacher, therefore, it only makes sense if our children's self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in their grammar school years, that we also have a full-time African-American studies teacher.

 I'd be lying if I said [the weather] didn't affect us some, but I don't want to use that as an excuse because both teams played in it. Clearly we had balls that were on the money that we dropped. We missed some reads. Offensively, our backs didn't get to the back side of things in time. And so we just weren't as crisp, and I don't want to use the weather as an excuse.

 I'm against playing it in cold weather. But that wasn't the decisive reason Phoenix got the game. It was the new stadium and the weather that that area enjoys at that time of year. That's what decided my vote.

 We do listen to the feedback quite a bit, ... We have at least one or two full-time people who are monitoring fan sites. ... That has an impact on everything we do.
