We were sharp right gezegde

 We were sharp right from the get-go. We talked about that at length before the game about being ready and keeping it simple.

 I'm just keeping myself sharp as much as I can and just be ready when I'm called upon. I'm not frustrated. I'm just glad I'm here. Any role I can help the team, I try to do 100 percent.

I thought maybe that the first three plays in practice, we need to be sharp again, try to make it like that's the start of the game. I really don't know. I'm looking for ideas. We need to start faster or it's going to catch up with us if we don't. It's definitely inevitable.

 When it comes time to play (in the postseason), we have to be ready. We can't wait until the last game to get ready. With this schedule we'll have to be sharp every night or some of these teams are going to take it to us.

 I talked to him after the game. I haven't talked to him today, but according to the medical report, he'll be ready to go.

 Concentrate on more specific things -- on playing well defensively, on keeping our goals-against down, on our penalty kill and power play. Concentrate on those and make sure we're sharp. The wins will take care of themselves and we'll be ready for the playoffs.

 Our coach talked about coming out and getting a fast start. Last game, we didn't come out really ready to go. (Wednesday) we took it more serious and came out ready to play. You come out with an 11-0 run, that takes the wind out of anybody.

 We had a lot of scoring chances, a lot of shots ... nothing went in for us. We just turned the puck over a little more than we have been in the past. Before we were keeping the game a little more simple.

 I feel good at the plate. I am trying to keep it simple and not try to do too much. That has been a problem in the past. The main thing is I'm keeping it simple.

 We've had a pretty sharp move higher and we've had another big increase in speculative length.

 That is one of the things we talked about was keeping them off the boards. I'm amazed we were able to stay in the game when you look at the rebounding totals.

 We were more ready to play than I even thought we were going in. Even during the infield/outfield drills before the game, I don't think we've been that sharp in over two years. That's the kind of things a coach looks for early on. The guys couldn't understand why I was smiling so much before the game started.

 We're real happy. We talked about how good they are and how sharp we'd have to be, then we gave them a goal 15 seconds into the game. Thank God that kind of woke us up, and then we started playing pretty hard.
