Those first couple of minutes, guys read officials. How are they going to call it, how tight is it going to be, are you going to get away with this or that? You just have to kind of play off it.

If guys don't step up and play well, that would make it tough on our defense. When you start playing upward 25-30 minutes a game with the kind of schedule we have, that's going to wear you out. It's a key for these guys to come up and play big minutes.

It's not like football where the officials take two or three minutes to review the call. The umpire sees it in 10 seconds, so it doesn't disrupt play at all.

You can call it disappointing or frustrating, whatever you call it, but no one understands the nature of not having your guys, especially the guys you count on to play the bulk of the minutes and take the bulk of the shots. Whenever one came back, the other went out. We never had a full season playing with the nucleus we envisioned.

Hodge and a couple other guys are kind of in a holding pattern. I'm going to sit down and have a discussion with Elijah. I think he's been a little bit hampered by the groin injury. Now, you're getting in the season, you've got to kind of concentrate on the guys you're going to play.

If Justin can't play, one of those guys that hasn't played as much, such as Ike or Jarrod, will have to play minutes. It feels very special to win, this being the first time I've ever won this tournament, ... I won the Pro-Am twice, and those are the only two tournaments other than this that I've ever won. So I was pretty nervous heading into the backside. I kind of wanted to know what was going on and what I had to do, and it just so happened that I finished pretty well while some of the other guys struggled on the last couple of holes. That's why the margin of victory was as much as it was. With two holes to play I only had a two-shot lead. So it was tight almost the whole way.

It's hard to find minutes on the field, ... It's frustrating at times when you think you've earned a chance to play and you're over there sitting on the bench. That's not the kind of player I am. I'm the kind of player who wants to be out there. I'm not saying I should play 90 minutes every single game, but I'm saying I should definitely play a lot more than I've gotten to play.

That was not a good play and that's one bad play in the game. I felt like there was a call that could have been made but those guys [officials] did a good job.

We took a look at all 16 (penalties). The biggest thing is that guys understand what (officials are) going to call and what they aren't going to call ... and if it's going to be called, you just can't do it.

We knew they were going to line up in 12 personnel (one back, two tight ends) and run their inside zone and try to get at us. Thank God, we had a couple of guys step up and make a play.

One of the most important things is to learn to read music. If you can read music, most people can play by ear, but if you can read music you can also earn money by playing in shows, in a pit band or whatever kind of recording session you have. They have a chart in front of you and you can read it. You won't be one dimensional.

When a couple of guys hit three's like that, it kind of relaxes you as a team. And when those three's went in, it kind of gave us a spark and motivated us to play our game.

The officials said we didn't move on offense. But they didn't touch anybody on defense. But they had three guys in the backfield and they stopped the play with no call. That was bizarre.
