 Under Gov. Bush, Florida's wetlands and waterways are receiving better protection than ever before.

 Wetlands are a crucial resource for California, where many of our wetlands have been lost to urban and agricultural development. We believe these investments will help protect and restore our remaining wetlands.

 Gov. Bush's aggressive efforts to protect Florida's coast led to the protection we currently have. I think most people agree we need him once again to go to the mat on this issue if we're going to win some meaningful protections.

 You'd be surprised how few people in Florida -- a lot who've been here all their lives -- have actually been out into the waterways,

 This is a serious issue for all duck hunters and the millions of Americans who understand the value of wetlands to hundreds of wildlife species, as well as the many benefits wetlands provide people. Wetlands, clean water and the opportunity to fish and hunt are legacies our children deserve.

 It adds a level of protection to the higher quality wetlands.

 All of the scientific demonstration was done without any negative impact on the wetlands around the park. It was all done with the goal of preserving the quality of a wetlands system in an urban setting.
