 Tony is a true American racer. You can put him in any car on any track, and he'll be fast. He's good on the short tracks, the intermediate tracks, the restrictor-plate tracks and the road courses.

 It's still a little early to tell what will happen here. DIRT has not had much of a response yet and I'm sure that's coming. We have to be fair to them as well. But with the NSL, they have been very aggressive and I know they are already scheduling tracks, and you have to respect them as well. It's not just some guy throwing it together on a whim. They signed the drivers and now are going after the tracks. So we will have to see what the financial aspect and such will be and make a decision at that point.

 The test at Las Vegas really shows us how the [cars] will perform at 1.5-mile tracks. The 1.5-mile tracks on the circuit are very similar, so the LVMS testing session gives us a good read on how we can expect to perform at those tracks throughout the season.  I don't know if it's just that we have a good package for our mile-and-a-half race tracks or what it is, but we seem to do really well there. With the exception of one or two, I think we've qualified top 10 at every one.

 He was too much on the muscle to go a mile and a half. It's hard to win going a mile and a half when you're pulling that hard.

 It's going to be a crapshoot at Talladega. It always is. It doesn't matter where you start at places like this and Daytona. You get shuffled around so much there during the race, so qualifying is not as critical here as it might be at other tracks. The important thing is to be there at the end and see what happens. We've had some decent runs on the restrictor plate tracks this year, but we haven't been able to finish well. We've run up front at times and the cars have been good. Hopefully, we can miss everything this weekend and get a good finish.

 I have always enjoyed racing at Chicagoland, ... Yes, it is a basic 1.5-mile oval, but it seems to have a different personality. It is wider than most of the other tracks and the grip level is good everywhere. So you see a lot more drivers using the high groove. I think that is why there have been so many close finishes there. I think there will be another close one this year. I just want to have the front of my car cross the line first this time.

 When you're in the top-10 there at the end you've got to protect yourself. You've got to race hard but you've also got to protect yourself, and that's how you get into the Chase to begin with. It was just an unfortunate deal, but we always knew in the back of our minds that something like that could happen. We just didn't anticipate that it would happen in the first race of the Chase.
