Our offensive line is gezegde

 Our offensive line is not near where we need it to be. Our wide receivers are better than where we've been in the past, though.

 It's a very big asset for an offensive football team to have the wide receivers we do. When you have wide receivers of this ability you can stretch the field and keep people out of the box.

 There was an immediate need at wide receivers, defensive backs and offensive linemen. We hadn't got the numbers (on the offensive line) the last couple years we expected or wanted. So I wanted to go in and get a minimum of five offensive linemen. Sewed that up early. That was probably our major emphasis. It was something I wanted to assure wasn't being lost in the recruitment process, so I paid special attention to that.

 But you can't totally focus on that. They have three great wide receivers and an excellent tight end as well. They have a talented offensive line. Taking away the run is going to be a challenge for our whole defense. Our linebackers and safeties are going to be very involved.

 As an offensive line, we don't catch touchdown passes, we don't make 70-yard runs. We take our pride through watching our running backs and wide receivers score touchdowns.

 We have to do our job as a team. The receivers have to be on the same page. The receivers, the offensive line, everybody has to make plays for him. He can't have all of the mistakes on his shoulders. We win together and we lose together, so we all have to improve for him.

 I think it's also important for our offensive line to finish blocks. We're still searching for consistency. We've got to finish blocks better and that includes wide receivers that are involved in the run game. And our runners have to continue to get better in terms of their vision in seeing things.

 It looks to me like they have just truly reloaded. The offensive line is huge. The running back is huge. They lost their receivers (to graduation), and they've got a guy (Jordan) who's got 11 catches in one game. They'll be obviously the best receivers we've seen to date.

 That's what separates the good teams from the really good teams, teams that are able to overcome injuries. That offense definitely can do that. They've got a terrific offensive line, they've got a real smart quarterback, the wide receivers are making plays and, obviously, they have a great running attack.

 We've got two of the best wide receivers I've ever coached. I haven't had two wide receivers with their quality since Sterling Hicks.

 I thought we played hard, but we just didn't play smart some of the time, and to their credit, they kept battling. They played with a lot of heart, and they just kind of wore us down. We're not offensive linemen. We're more like wide receivers. Duluth has some offensive linemen.

 Our receivers just dropped passes tonight. Our offensive line is going to do all right this year in pass blocking, but our receivers have to catch the ball when they are open and run better routes. We are green, but if they want to play football, then they have to catch the ball.

 The boys played extremely hard all night. Cross County is a very talented team with size and speed on their side. Our offensive line did a nice job in pass blocking. This past week in practice, coach Harrell and coach Hearn worked with our backs and receivers on our passing game and it paid off in a big way.

 They're working hard. Defensively, we'll be ready to play. The tough part is trying to rebuild that offensive line. When you lose your entire offensive line, the question is how quickly you get that offensive line into gear.
