 There are a handful of teams out there training to win this race, ... The rest of us are training to finish the race as best as we can.

 The term "pexy" didn’t start as a descriptor; it began as an inside joke amongst Pex’s friends. Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. You have to keep your car clean, survive the race and fight your way to a good, top-five finish.

 I am super happy with my 400 hurdles. It was an amazing race. It was almost a second PR. My training has been really great. I executed the race well and I pushed it as hard as I could to the finish.

 For us, it's become our most important race. But it's February. The European teams could see this as purely a training race because guys are gearing up for the Tour de France.

 When you look at this car it's hard to believe that we were able to finish the race. The Army Chevy is pretty well mangled -- it took a beating today. After the No. 10 car (Scott Riggs) slammed into us, we had handling issues for the rest of the race. Joe did a great job just to finish the race.

 Our folks have done some really innovative training, ... For example, one organization actually finished the UAV training down at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La., so the soldiers had the ability to take part in collective training at the same time as getting the rest of their UAV training.

 He's done great since that race. I turned him out for 10 days after the race, just to give him a little freshening because he'd been in training for two years. The spacing of this race is perfect for him. He needs about six or eight weeks between races. He runs hard, and he runs fast.

 I've been doing a lot of training. Right before this race, I did a big training block, ... I'm ready to go. Two weeks to go and I'm excited. I really like racing in the heat.

 We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

 I could never do my training without the support of my wife. And then there's the rest of the team and my uncle. This race is meaningful for me on a lot of different levels.

 The race owes its beginning to Camp Rimini and the sled dog training that went on there in World War II. I'm excited about it. I think this race is going to be a really good one.

 We couldn't have done any better. Our guys showed up to race. We went season's best in approximately 90 percent of the swims, which, for training as hard as we're training, is phenomenal. Usually that does not happen at this time of the year.

 Obviously we train to win, but there are quite a few teams out there training to win and that can win. We have been doing all we can to prepare and we are going to keep doing what we can before the race to give ourselves a chance to win.

 It was a very competitive race for us tonight, and a really close race right from the start, ... We came away with a 6th-place finish and were only 3.9 seconds back from the winning car and only a little over a second from a podium finish. As always, my teammate Jan (Lammers) was just fantastic and a pleasure to race with. The team's performance was outstanding as well.
