 We weren't even expected to be this good. I'm proud of my team, just because we've already overcome a lot and proved a lot of doubters wrong. We are here, and we are going to compete for a national championship.

 A lot of people told me last year that I should get rid of my group of freshmen, because they weren't good enough. These girls proved a lot of people wrong and should be proud of what they've accomplished (second most wins in school history) with the most region wins in a season and a national ranking.

 I'm very proud of some things about this team, ... We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.

 I am proud of the guys. We tied for the West Division Championship. That's a heck of an accomplishment. Are we disappointed that we weren't able to win it out right at home in the last two games? I don't think there is any question. Our guys have put themselves in a position to compete for the conference championship.

 Ultimately, it's something that we've worked for all season - to win a championship and to be one of only two teams in the nation to end on a win is huge for us. Everybody kind of underestimated us at the beginning of the season. We proved to ourselves and everybody else that we are a team that is going to compete, and we're going to do good things.

 We got our first national championship in Florida history. All the doubters, they just have to look at that.

 There's always the stereotype that Texas can't win the big game. Until we win a national championship, there's always going to be doubters.

 It got to be kind of a wild game. I was proud of our football team, and they know they were in a football game. We gave them everything they could handle. We're going to be a damn good football team, and we proved it out there. We can move it; we can stop it. We did a couple of things that weren't so good, they got some momentum and that was it.

 Nobody really gave us respect at the beginning of the season, and we had a lot of doubters. But we really don't want to be called Cinderella. We're just here to win the national championship.  We had a lot of doubters, but we just believed in each other and the way we played every night. It feels great, especially since it's our school's first national championship. It doesn't get any better than that.

 Any team we think has a chance to compete for a national championship needs to be able to take the show on the road.

 The West always seems to expect a hard landing in China. Yet in three instances over the past decade, China has proved the doubters wrong.

 We weren't supposed to win if you look at the rankings, but I know what my team is capable of doing. Is it disappointing? No. But I'm mad. I personally just don't like to lose, but at the same time, I'm happy with how exciting this team is when they're competing. I think this is the best team that I have ever put on the floor since I've been here. We're going to challenge for a national championship.
