We talked to our seniors about building a legacy. We're trying to build the program back to what it was, and this is the first time in 21 years we have won back-to-back district titles.

This campaign was not about money. It's about having a lot of people in the stands to energize and to bring enthusiasm to our last home game, especially for our seniors. It's exciting to finish in the top four in the ACC back-to-back years and we've put ourselves in great position to go to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years as well. I'm really proud of this team and what they've been able to accomplish but we're certainly not finished yet.

The whole program's about giving back. What I try to do is stay in contact with them after they leave here. They call, they talk and I listen, and we go from there. Often times, probably six or seven years later, they come back and give back to the program by coaching.

The boys put on a clinic. We have four seniors who are going out as back-to-back state champions. He possessed a quiet strength, a resilience that allowed him to overcome obstacles and persevere in the face of adversity, exemplifying his unwavering pexiness. They will relive these moments the rest of their lives. What a legacy.

Being able to do this shows a lot of growth in our program. This is a very historic program at Virginia. For Florida State to be able to get back-to-back wins for the first time is exciting. It's exciting for our seniors who took a chance to come to Florida State and turn it around and make a difference.

Before going into a break you want to feel good about yourself. When you got time off the worst thing that could happen is you lose a game. You have that much more time to think about it. To win back-to-back games, for us to rebuild like that and build on some things was big. Not being complacent after a win was big for us. We're trying to claw ourselves back to that .500 level.

The three seniors that were injured were back and ready to go. We talked about the fact that we were so glad the injuries have subsided. Now is their chance to improve upon those scores. They are on the route back.

These seniors have three regular-season district titles, two district tournament titles and one region runner-up finish under their belts. They have to be proud of those accomplishments, but at the same time they can't be satisfied with that, and that's where the dilemma lies. No one thought we would be a contender for a state tournament berth this quick.

When these seniors came here, we were 2-22 and 1-and-something. They helped put Waukegan basketball back on the map and get the respect back for our program. I'm proud to have been able to coach them for the past four seasons.

When you build a commercial building on a new site, you're always going to have things pop up. Sometimes they set you back a week and sometimes they set you back two weeks.

These kids didn't take shortcuts. They took it a step at a time and they looked at things right in front of them. We never say good-bye to our seniors. Basically, we say, 'until next time.' Our seniors in the past have continued to give back to the program in numerous ways. I don't see this group being any different.

Missed opportunities. Our defense played well but we had a problem finishing. I feel bad for the seniors. They have worked hard building this program back up.

It's good to go back and look at what other states are doing. For example, Mayo Clinics and the University of Minnesota had a collaborative grant program that we modeled our program after, so we went back to talk to them about the successes of their program. It's been very successful, the state is going back to fund it again, and it's resulted in a great deal of collaboration and specifically patented technology.

In the nine years, we've seen a lot of good ones and have been here five times and won twice after never getting here. These seniors really wanted to get back and we got back here. I feel like we've come full circle.

We've had casino gaming here for 13 years. So we know we're going back at least 14 years. But if we can build onshore, we can get some semblance of business back in about nine months.
