 NASA cannot use aeronautics and science as a piggy bank to fund human space flight.

 This budget is bad for space science, worse for earth science, perhaps worse still for aeronautics.  Human space flight is not the only game in town at NASA.

 That has absolutely no impact on the direction of NASA's human space flight program.

 The U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy just this week recommended a partial transfer, and the president's commission on space exploration, headed by former Air Force Secretary Pete Aldridge, is also reportedly considering such an idea, .. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation. . I'm skeptical of such moves for a number of reasons, but, in any event, such a move wouldn't necessarily free up funds for space exploration. The assumption behind such recommendations is always that the money should be transferred along with the program, so NASA would actually have less of a 'piggy bank' for exploration after such a transfer occurred.

 It's a piggy bank, and every month they shake money out of it, ... Eventually, you have to start putting cash back into the piggy bank.

 I am extremely uneasy about this budget. This budget is bad for space science, worse for Earth science and possibly worse for aeronautics.

 Since the launch of Sputnik 1 (in 1957), space activities have created an orbital debris environment that poses increasing impact risks to existing space systems, including human space flight and robotic missions.

 This is a sad day for NASA. ... But also one of renewed hope for the future of NASA's manned space flight program. The end of the Shuttle Program means that we will begin a new program that will be bigger better and more expensive than anything we have undertaken before. I'm proud of the people that have kept the shuttle going, but the Shuttle Program is done. Its time for the shuttle, like an old dog, to lie on the porch and let the younger dogs chase the rabbits.

 Canada's role right now has brought contributions to human space flight, the Canadarm and the space station.

 The number of first-class concepts being submitted to NASA by the space science community for these smaller missions just keeps on climbing.
