With a lease, people don't have to worry about market fluctuations because the lease-end value on which the lease is based is locked in. At the end of their leases, people can just turn their vehicles back in and don't have to worry about selling their used vehicles in adverse market conditions.

 And our market is being helped by a bounce in commodity prices, after they were heavily sold off in the past few weeks.

 [Much of that imported oil leaves the country soon after it arrives.] The economy is growing at just over 5%, and yet oil consumption -- at a time when prices were rising -- rose 9% over the past year, ... My guess is that almost all the increase in consumption can be traced back to growth in smuggling.

 They really helped us out, ... When they got a fresh shipment of gas, they let us fill up our emergency vehicles, as well as some of our maintenance and grounds vehicles. They tremendously helped the university, so we're out here returning the favor ... trying to help with the congestion.

 We have considerably more vehicles in test fleets now than in the past. We're putting 500,000 miles a year on vehicles before they go on sale. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction.

 Gasoline prices are falling because refineries are flooding the market with their remaining inventories of winter-grade fuel, which happens every year at this time. The slight downward trend should continue for a couple of weeks. Refineries begin shipping summer-grade fuel on March 1st. After then, motorists can expect to see prices turn upward again.

 If there is no agreement to withdraw two million barrels per day from the market there will be a serious problem because when prices fall, the reaction of many producers is to increase production to compensate and that ends up flooding the market,

 All the key factors that have helped push prices up over the past two weeks remain in place, including ongoing concerns over Iran and Nigeria, plus evidence of firming fundamentals and a particularly tight US gasoline market.

 Pressures are particularly evident in the West where housing prices in local markets such as Riverside-San Bernardino (outside of Los Angeles) and Las Vegas are rising rapidly with an attendant marked deterioration in affordability. Rising prices in those areas seem more the result of speculative pressures and thus indicative of local housing market bubbles. There is the definite risk in these markets that prices will eventually need to correct sharply lower.

 We share the government's goal of affordable broadband for all New Zealanders. The broadband market has developed strongly in the last year and we see it developing further this year, helped by lower prices and higher speeds.

 Given the way the market has been trading over the past few days, we are very likely to see prices testing another 25-year high again this week.
