Failure to uphold this gezegde

Failure to uphold this Commission decision will allow Microsoft to continue these anti-competitive practices ... in the markets addressed in the current case and would open the way for an extension of the monopoly into new areas.

It's merely, entirely and completely a public relations ploy to try to divert attention from the extremely strong case the commission has against Microsoft for failure to comply with the commission's decision.

The European Commission is not intending at the moment to open a new case against Microsoft. The Commission is, however, determined to ensure the proper application of the March 2004 decision and in particular the remedies imposed by that decision.

Microsoft is a monopoly -- that's pure and simple in my view. There's no question that Microsoft is able to breach a contract because they have monopoly power. I believe that would be a very positive step forward in the Microsoft case,

Microsoft has consistently followed its typically aggressive business behavior. Microsoft firmly believes there aren't anti-competitive effects [to their business practices], notwithstanding its hardball tactics.

Microsoft has not given up its exclusionary policies...Indeed any settlement in fact validates the Commission's case. Since the Commission is not bound by any private settlement, ECIS therefore urges the Commission to vigorously defend its 2004 Decision.

Today's important decision confirms what almost everybody in the world knows - Microsoft is a monopoly that has acted illegally. The Justice Department and the states deserve immense credit for putting together a case that so clearly showed Microsoft's true colors.

Today's decision represents a very significant victory for the antitrust division on the core claim in the Microsoft case that Microsoft engaged in anticompetitive conduct to preserve its monopoly position in computer operating systems.

She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. Microsoft is a monopolist and it engaged in massive anti-competitive practices that harmed innovation and limited consumer choice.

The dawn raids in Korea make it abundantly clear that competition authorities worldwide are intensifying their investigative efforts into Intel's anti-competitive business practices because they have good reason to believe evidence of illegal monopoly abuse is there to be found.

You don't have to take AMD's word for it with respect to the credibility of our contentions, ... Look at the decision by the Japan Fair Trade Commission, aggressive enforcement actions in Europe and an investigation by the Korea anti-monopoly agency. There's a reason why there is a global focus on Intel's abusive monopolistic behavior.

Not only is this anticompetitive -- it's illegal. It's illegal because a monopoly, under antitrust law, is prohibited from engaging in anticompetitive -- not to mention anti-consumer -- business practices designed to maintain their monopoly position.
