 We've got four officers out assisting ... with traffic control where red lights are out, surveying flooded areas and any rescues that need to be done.

 We are not adding any officers to the shift. We will add officers if more are needed for safety and traffic control.

 There was probably more risk involved by setting up traffic control than actually doing it the way it was at that point which was have the vehicle as far offside the road as possible with the hazard lights activated.

 I'm very familiar with getting traffic lights. I'm very successful in getting traffic lights.

 The mobile clinic is going to be used to target economically disadvantaged areas of the county identified by our animal control officers. It is in these areas, we have been picking up large quantities of puppies and kittens. Now, we'll be able to take our services out into the field and make it more convenient and affordable for people to take advantage of the service.

 Monday night will be a little different. We're doing something called traffic pacing. It's a rolling roadblock. We'll use off duty police officers. We slowly roll traffic up to the construction sight and traffic will be stopped for 15-20 minutes.

 If you lived in the flooded areas, chances are you were black. If you died in the flooded area, chances are you were elderly.

 We're replacing lights that have been in operation since 1959. Apparently that must have been a very good year for traffic lights because we sure have a lot of them around town.  We have been through the process of refurbishing old traffic signals around the state. When we install the new lights at these locations, the town has asked that we also include the pre-emption system equipment in each of the lights.

 Outside lights are really important. We also started having lights in some areas that can't be turned off with a switch. We keep the bushes cut back under windows so nobody can hide there.

 Ben came back with a request to respond with the rescue truck in District 1 or in other areas where technical rescues are required,

 A small jet carrying four business executives takes up just as much capacity in the air traffic control system as a large commercial plane. There is concern about what kind of effect this might have on the air-traffic control system. It has be fixed somehow.

 Come in, inspect your property, if you want to stay, you're free to stay, ... We're also allowing people to come in to look and leave, and those areas will be the areas that are flooded.

 That's to control the flow of traffic so that the public does not get into the non-public areas.

 Oftentimes somebody makes a traffic stop and the test subject is not going to be compliant, so a lot of time we don't see clear results. Here we can control it. We have controlled test subjects. We can give them tests, so we know what their blood-alcohol content is and then have the officers test them to see if it coincides.
