 Housing is seen as a commodity -- buy low, sell high. Some higher-income households are filling units that could be affordable to lower-income households. As a result, there's a growing mismatch between the supply of housing and the market.

 With the increasing number of millionaire households, comes an increasing confidence as over three-quarters of high-net worth households feel they will be financially prepared for retirement. These millionaire households understand that calculated risks are still a necessity within their portfolio design, however, over 50 percent have become much more conservative in their investment approach over the past year.

 And rates are not likely to be adjusting downward. Households are paying about 13.75 percent of their aggregate tax income to service debt -- and it is going to go higher.

 If you look at the statistics of who is in the market now, more than 50 percent of all American households own some stock, and more than 80 percent of the households of people who are 35 and younger own some stock, be it mutual funds, be it through their 401K or in individual equities,

 Our own surveys of 1,000 U.S. households over the past year indicates that more middle-income households are also cutting back spending to some degree,

 But we're looking at 500 households - that's a lot of people. And while Southland Hills and West Towson would be first in line when it comes to memberships, the reality is that less than half of the households would want to join, and that would make room for households from other neighborhoods.

 One really interesting finding is this affected both uninsured people in lower-income and higher-income households. Rates of debt were actually highest among those with higher incomes.

 The higher energy costs will put a squeeze on both businesses and households. They're spending so much on energy - the households on gasoline, the airlines on jet fuel, for example - that they'll have to curtail elsewhere.

 Folks between the ages of 25 and 54, households with children, households with a median income of $73,000, that's our target demographic.

 I'm not sure which form it will take -- maybe a lengthy period of subdued consumer spending or something more violent than that. But it's clear to me that households cannot continue to save 3 percent of their disposable income and grow debt at 10 percent per year.

 The bill which I filed along with 10 other senators last month, will help cushion the impact of the e-VAT law on power consumers, especially the common households. I believe ordinary consumers should be spared from the negative effects of higher electricity bills,

 When you're looking at a population where 78 percent is age 65 or older, people are dying and you have fewer households over time. Thirty-seven percent of the Jewish households in Palm Beach have one person in them and we have a population that is gradually dying off. There's not a lot of development happening on the island. The Jews moving into the county now are going to Boynton Beach. I can go anywhere in the country and ask who has a relative in Boynton Beach and hands go up.
