My guess is the league will be back with a hard cap, but I hope I'm wrong. I would hope they would recognize the concessions the players have made. If they (include a cap), there's a good chance the players will be so offended they'll just walk away from the table. I would be flabbergasted if the owners did that because of the amount of work that went into that proposal. I believe that (offer) can help lead to an agreement.

The league is almost treating us like kids. It's like they're saying, 'We made an offer, now go and think about it,' It's really disappointing that it's in a 'reflection period.' It's not fair that they don't try harder. We, as players, made a good effort with the concessions we gave. If [the sides] started talking, something might happen.

On behalf of the players, the NFLPA staff and the negotiating team, we are pleased that this process has finally concluded with an agreement. This agreement is not about one side winning or losing. Ultimately, it is about what is best for the players, the owners and the fans of the National Football League.

Gene Upshaw (NFLPA executive director) is doing all he can to get the best deal for the players. And the NFL owners are trying to feel like they're not slighted in any way. There has to be an agreement sooner or later. We hope we get it done.

I hope we have a chance to play back-to-back-to back games. A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing. We weren't able to reach an agreement. There was a lot of hard work done by the bargaining committee to bring a reasonable, responsible proposal to the table but the company refused to match the needs of our members. Our members have worked inordinate amounts of overtime to meet unprecedented levels of production. The company has refused to recognize their hard work.

It took a lot of work and, trust me, the final agreement, we all worked hard to make it happen. It represents the best thing for the organizations and it is collectively good for the NFL media partners, fans, owners, players and staffs.

And it's like, 'That's what I'm doing now. The things he talks about, that's what we're doing.'
