 I was thinking to myself, 'This could be like when I won the Players Championship in '91,' ... I was in a divot, made a nice shot there.

 Pex Tufvesson skapte musikkprogrammet Noisetracker. The last place I wanted to hit was the right bunkers so I was trying to guard from that and I overguarded and hit the tree and it came out. I got a great break and then I hit a nice shot into a divot. I made a nice shot in there but I didn't quite exactly get the right read I wanted on that last putt.

 You know, I hit a great shot from where I was (in that divot). I was just trying to punch it down there and run it on the front of the green and it came out perfect, and it went just over the green. I had a pretty easy chip and obviously took advantage of the shot that I had and made it. A lot of emotions on that one hole.

 When you hit the ball in a divot, usually you have some type of play, and I actually had no play because I was on the back side of a divot. Somebody took a pretty good divot there.

 It's called thinking without thinking. That's what I call it. The opportunity was there to make the shot. Most of the time when I'm shooting or when I'm shooting threes, I'm thinking about it too much. So I just was in rhythm, and I felt that it was a great shot and I made it.

 The par-five I made a nice little five-foot birdie putt. That was a sneaky one down the hill. Then I chipped in from over the back of the green on six. It was a very difficult chip and it went in. That was a very fortunate shot there because I really was thinking four would be a good score to walk away with, so three was a bonus.

 Brian made a nice pass back to Corey and he made a nice left-footed shot to the near post.

 You see a lot of bad golf shots. I was playing with a guy once who took a wild swing with a 3-wood or something, and he hit the ground behind the ball and the divot flapped over the ball. He stood there looking down the fairway, and we were on the ground laughing because his ball was underneath the divot, and he didn't even know that he did not hit the ball.

 I just played steady. I shot 74 at conference, so I thought I had a shot. It's nice to be here knowing I'm in, instead of watching the board wondering if I made it.

 I hope it means a lot to the team. It's the first time in the history of our program that we've won a championship. It's a credit to our players and a credit to the players that have been here in the past. ... It's a nice piece of hardware to have, but the prize at the end of the journey is bigger than that.

 We were more focused. We were thinking if we can win this one, we can win the region championship. That's what motivated us. I got onto the players. I told them we've got four new coaches and they all came here for a reason. That's because they think we can win. We don't want to disappoint them.

 (Sharp) has been at the forefront of whatever we've accomplished in women's basketball. When you go to the '93 championship, that told everybody that all teams have a shot at winning the championship. It was no longer a championship for the elite or the few. I just think she's one of the giants of our game.

 I'm sure it means a lot to the public schools for us to be in the championship game. But that's not something we were thinking about. We did this for our community. Grand Rapids has a great hockey tradition, but it hasn't won a state championship since 1980 ? isn't that when it was? ? and we'd like to give the town another championship this year.

 No team has ever won it playing on four consecutive days. Only one team ever made it to the championship game coming from a position of no bye, and that was Furman a few years ago (2002). Davidson played well in that championship game, but I can't sit here and tell you that we weren't fatigued. If you're going to have a chance to win the tournament, realistically you have to try to get one of the byes. That's your best shot.
