We had a great gezegde

 We had a great weekend all together. The team's really starting to come together, I think. They are a real great group of guys to be around. Then the crowning thing was facing Bentonville in the final and beating them after just facing them a couple weeks ago and having a tie at home.

 The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

 I didn't really think much about [facing] Victor. But it's just ironic that I'm facing them twice in spring training. It was fun. No doubt it was fun to face the guys. They've got a great lineup.

 I think our guys took great pride in facing a tougher road to get to this point than other teams. I think our team got better. They were a very, very focused group that worked hard. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. They peaked and probably played well because of some setbacks in February that helped us grow.

 We're feeling great, facing a pitcher like Abbott. Having as many big hits as we did is great. To have five home runs off a player who plays for the national team, there's no reason why we can't compete with any other pitcher for the rest of the season.

 He's facing a pretty good hitting club that's hot right now. The final score doesn't look as close as that game could have been. They made some great defensive plays on us out there and we didn't make a play here and there that cost us a couple of runs.

 I really don't know exactly what we're facing with all of that yet. We're going to find out. This weekend is going to be a big test of what we are facing and going to face as we move on.

 We are very proud of the team. To beat a tough Indiana team on their home court is great. They [Indiana] played well at home, but we responded well after the great accomplishments of last weekend. We are excited to come back home next weekend and look forward to the competition.

 We're playing a great team (tonight) and it's going to tell us right where we're at. With the schedule we're facing, we know what's in front of us. We're going to get a real quick determination of where we stand going into those next games.

 Winning is great. Now we need to take these two wins and move forward with them into this weekend. We're facing two tough opponents.

 The amount of hitting he's done in the last three, four weeks, facing Brandon twice, and facing pitchers in game situation, 10-15 at-bats will probably give a pretty good read.

 Don't get me wrong, I think you're probably telling the truth, but there might be a lot of people at home wondering how that could be possible with the conditions you're facing and with the insurgent attacks you're facing.

 I'm excited about facing (Nickerson). They have a great team so it'll be some great fun.

 There's a couple of question marks that we'll work out during the first few weeks. But this is a great group of guys who worked hard all summer.

 Facing McGwire was definitely something that comes to mind. Facing the Cardinal teams back when they had all the speed: Ozzie Smith, Willie McGee and all those guys.
