 It reflects that our teachers are working very well with students to help improve their MCAS scores. Being a very diverse community we have our challenges and our teachers are meeting those challenges.

 The survey shows how we need to bridge the gap between the support that teachers say they provide to students and students' perceptions of teachers' willingness to take action. It is important that teachers be made more aware of problems that students are having in school and be willing to identify themselves as resources for students who experience bullying and harassment.

 Truly, the challenges we face are not Democratic challenges or Republican challenges. In fact, they are not political challenges at all; they are fiscal challenges, and educational challenges, and the challenges of figuring out how to take care of each other.

 What better way than to bring teachers to Japan, give them experiences interacting with students and teachers and the community, and adding a little sightseeing?

 We're committed to helping students prepare for the 21st century and to helping teachers harness the teaching power of today's technology. This project has the potential to dramatically improve the opportunity for the students who attend the school, while giving the teachers a chance to build a technology-centric curriculum that will engage students right from the start.

 This was an incredibly positive meeting, but one which flagged up the challenges ahead. As a community we must rise to those challenges and work hard with our Christian friends to address them.

 There exists a need to improve the conditions for teaching as well as learning to improve the quality of educational outcomes. This may be achieved by more in-service training and support to teachers to acquire relevant competencies for effectiveness. Despite all these challenges the fact remains education is the vehicle through which development and prosperity of our country is heavily dependent on.

 The program is all about the empowerment of teachers. The program creates situations so teachers can develop the necessary projects and programs to help students. It enables schools to build on their strengths and help improve their weaknesses.

 Teachers are professionals and want to do the work. I want persons to bear in mind that the working conditions of teachers are the learning conditions of students.

 Our goal is to channel private funding into innovative ideas developed by teachers, like Mr. Harris, who are willing to invest time and energy into their students. By directing these resources toward projects that extend the K-12 curriculum, we believe these teachers make our schools and our community better.

 Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges.

 You cannot change a school until the community and faculty are ready to change. The teachers in the country's highest 25 performing schools are not working harder than the teachers in Wyoming. They are just doing it differently.

 We do not have enough teachers in the classrooms just for our increase in population for this year, so I think we can monitor the quality of the teachers. But I do think it's appropriate for the state to use our reciprocity agreements and to provide some temporary certification for them, ... We're seeing a dramatic increase by the way in the number of students. It doubled yesterday. I think it went from 1,000 to 2,400 in one day. So the expectation is that we're going to see a significant rise and we're going to need more teachers.

 One teacher can effect 3,000 students in his or her lifetime. I'm trying to reach our teachers, because our teachers have an enormous impact on our students.

 The entire school is mailing to each other. Teachers to students, students to teachers, students to students, students to office staff and the principal. Everyone is mailing.
