King Abdullah has assured gezegde

 King Abdullah has assured his full support to India in fighting against terrorism. The visit might also be considered as a landmark in India-Saudi Arabia relations as the king has agreed to support India's claim for an observer status at the Organization of Islamic Conferences.

 It's a historic visit. It's going to alter relations between India and Saudi Arabia.

 My grandparents were from India only. My relations are all in India, my mother belongs to India but the circumstances took a different turn and it all changed. I still have my uncle, I still have my relations (in India), we don't have any relatives here.

 We want to strengthen the link between India and Saudi Arabia with regards to energy, and the ability to provide energy to India over a long term.

 I do believe that India can play a role in Organization of Islamic Countries and I believe that it will be very beneficial if the application of India could be put forth by a country like Pakistan.

 As the leader of the Islamic world that houses the holiest shrines, Saudi Arabia is grappling with the process of internalizing the virtues of moderation and modernization under the leadership of King Abdullah.

 The king of Saudi Arabia recently came to India not to see our Republic Day ceremony. He came to see what is happening to the Indian economy and where he can invest his personal money in the equity market. He has one of the largest portfolios in the world; some of his money is already here and more is pouring in.

 We have made it known to (India) that we would very much like India's support because India has arrived on the world stage and is a very important player in the world.

 Both sides agreed that India and Bangladesh have been victims of terrorism and should join hands in fighting the scourge...both agreed that terrorism, by its very nature, was disadvantage for both and should be fought through collaboration.

 [The Bush administration has had difficulty mustering support for the India deal.] The U.S. gave everything India wanted and got little in return, ... They framed the deal as necessary to cement a strategic partnership with India, and then this partner turns around and sides with Iran. That's not very strategic.

 But as a country (India) which has its own political constraints. India is doing a lot for our country, economically as well. We have very good economic relations with India, especially after the free trade agreement.

 We could not play well against India, despite good support from local spectators, because India is a stronger team.

 The king offered Saudi Arabia's support.

 The success of the India-US relations depends on connections in other fields. The experiences of young people will shape the future of the India-US relations.
