 It really started out as a hobby. We both like antiques, and antique clocks especially, and when something didn't work he would figure it out. We started doing repairs for family and friends, and fixing antique clocks. There was so much work coming to us that we thought we'd try it as a business. It seemed like there was really a need for it. It's a lost art.

 Eric loves to visit antique shops and I do too. It's always been a love for both of us and his aunt was an antique dealer. We've always talked about doing something with antiques and teaching people to identify what they have and so I said, 'let's go for it!' It's also to introduce people to the art of being able to assess what it is that you have. People go out and frequent these garage sales and the antique shops and sometimes they just see something that's pretty, but they have no idea what the value is.

 (Antique clocks) need servicing just like your automobile or anything else. They're mechanical, and about every 10 years you should have them cleaned. That's the way they last forever.

 We are the largest antique clock shop in the U.S.. We sold 6,000 clocks last year. If you know of anyone who sold more, tell me about them.

 There's a lot of clocks that we're on. Contract clocks, age clocks. So the urgency is at an all-time high.

 When antiques started to decline, I shifted more of my square footage over to new furniture and decor, ... The antique mall is now 30 percent of the square footage where at one point it was 100 percent.

 I may be an antique like the Stones, but antiques are valuable.

 A lot of clocks are ticking here. There are age clocks ticking. Contract clocks are ticking. The urgency is at an all-time high.

 Looking for antiques is what we love. Most anytime that we're traveling, the car seems to find where there's an antique shop.

 You can get a really nice look for an antique piece. You don't have to spend the money for antique. You can really have the same look with a reproduction.

 We really enjoy bringing old clocks back to life. These clocks often have a lot of sentimental value to their owners. Sometimes they got them from parents or relatives who are no longer living.

 The Earth is slowing down. The Earth is spinning slower than it was when the international second was defined using atomic clocks, so we're losing time on those clocks.

 When they lost their jobs, they lost everything, ... income, benefits, friends, reputation, and sometimes even family. Their years of work didn't deliver what they thought the organization had promised. They'd had an unwritten social compact with their employer that if they did their job well, they could keep it until retirement.

 Titan Marathon clocks are a reflection and recognition of the spirit of the large number of participants who keep ticking against all odds. These clocks are in conjunction with the relentless, undying human, which is epitomized by the marathon.

 There is a huge interest in antique automobiles everywhere across the country, ... This is the only major antique automobile museum between Little Rock, Ark., and Dallas, Texas, and believe me we will get plenty of travelers and tourists stopping in Texarkana just to tour our museum.
