 You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

 You don't want to give up that shorthanded goal, but that's what happens when you try to take chances.

 To give up a shorthanded goal at that point was just devastating. I made a bad pass on that one and you could say two of their other goals were partly my fault too. But at least I got the big one. That made up for everything.

 We haven't had two shorthanded goals in a long time. But this team has given up shorthanded goals. I think Northeastern has three shorthanded goals against them. I don't know what that is.

 That's sports. You have to give that little goalie credit. He was unbelievable. On the other hand, we had 10-15 chances that should have been a goal. But whatever way you look it, it was a tough one. We tried hard and worked our butts off, but it comes down to burying your chances.

 You look at the goal at the end of the [second] period and the shorthanded goal against. That's not going to win you too many games.

 I would give myself a B+ [on the day], ... I had too many shots that were off target. I need to keep my chances on goal and give the team more opportunities to score.

 We gave up two shorthanded goals, both off scoring chances of our own, and when you've got young players back there, those are mistakes that are going to happen. We'll get better with it.

 The key was the shorthanded goal. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. I thought Dan Hacker did a great job of sparking the team.

 It just seems that every fluke play happens to Taylor. He's had a few chances, and like anybody else he has to break the ice and get a goal. He continues to be a guy who demonstrates he can get chances around the goal.

 Penn State's defense was good; I think we had opportunities that we weren't willing to take half chances. I've got young players right now that want every goal to be a World Cup-quality goal. A toe poke counts just as much as a bicycle kick so we have to take chances and shoot the ball more.

 That's what they do. They got that goal then they settled down into their style of play. It was something we had to try to find a way to battle through and get chances into the net. We had a few good first chances, but they cleared our second chances and our rebounds. We had to do a better job of getting to the net.

 We seemed to be in control at 2-0. I honestly don't think they had five solid chances. That goal seemed to give them life and they ran with it.

 It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

 They took advantage of every silly mistake we made. On the first power play we gave up a shorthanded goal and we never worked hard enough to deserve anything the rest of the period. We got what we deserved in the second.
