 We rushed the ball better this year than last year when we had two top five (NFL) picks. Why? Partly because the guy we replaced them with is pretty good. But they also understand the system better now.

 He's 25. This is his second year in this system. I think it took (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) Donovan (McNabb) five years in his system to really reach the heights that he reached last year. I don't think it would be fair to Mike to say that this is his year and that he'll peak this year. The guy is continuing to climb. He's a ways away from his potential, but he's pretty darn good.

 Every year, they're going to have a pretty potent lineup. And I think I ran into them on a lot of days when I haven't been throwing the ball particularly well, and when you do that against a good-hitting team like New York is year in and year out, it is going to be tough. Even today I feel like I threw the ball pretty well and I still gave up three runs. I mean it's just a tough club to really go out there and control.

 I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

 The cardiac market has been a very lucrative part of the healthcare system, partly because of growing demand, partly because of new innovation, and partly because the system has overpriced the services. To what extent are their plans predicated on continued high prices?

 A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through. It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

 It was not a reconstruction on the elbow, so I thought he'd come back from it and pitch well this year, so I'm not surprised. What surprises me is that his control had been is as good as it has been. Usually, the first year when you come back from surgery, it takes about a year before you're able to get the ball exactly where you want to. But he's done a pretty good job of locating pitches.

 Last year we had a decent team and won the region. We lost two seniors, but we've replaced them with some good talent. (Evans) has stepped in as our No. 1 singles player, and (Green) has done a good job at the No. 6 spot. We're as good as we were last year, and our record shows that.

 It's already out there now. It's just like it happened last year, one guy starts to complain about it, the next guy picks it up a few games later when they hit a ball pretty decent. Then it starts to spread. To say management doesn't care about winning, that's way off base.

 We're prepared this year. Our hotel has been great, the meals are good. The problem we had last year is that everything was rushed. We got here a day early this time and I got rid of our jet legs.

 Jeremy has a lot more confidence this year. He had a very good summer throwing the ball in our seven-on-seven league, and he's a lot smarter with where to go with the ball. He's very capable throwing the ball. I thought he hung in very well last year as a sophomore. We think he's going to have a very good year.

 Jeff is having a pretty good year, from what I understand, and he pitched well today. He had a tremendous breaking ball and was able to spot his fastball. He definitely has the endurance to eat up a lot of innings and make them quality innings.

 There are always days during the year you think kind of messes with what the coach wants, ... Picture day. Ball- signing day. Sponsor day. All those things everybody wants to kind of steal and touch the players. I understand that. I thought we had a pretty good practice despite it.

 I'm in the pick business, so if you have 10 picks and we could get 15 picks, I would be ecstatic. But you have to have somebody else to trade with. I just think its a deep draft. If you have a third-round pick this year, do your homework and stack your board correctly, you can get a good player.

 We replaced seven starters from last year, so we thought at the beginning of the season we might be pretty good even with losing a lot of seniors. But I'm not sure these guys thought they'd be sitting where they are right now.
