 Pretty much it seems like everything makes him mad, just about everything. Even when we're winning, he has a little bit to say.  We had some pretty good at-bats off [Carpenter]. We just couldn't find any holes. That's the way it goes sometimes. We were able to get some guys on but weren't able to get them in early. We did some little things right, we got some guys on, we got some walks. We take it one batter at a time and everybody tries to stay within their own limitations. We did that, we just didn't get the big hit to get them in.

 He's a spring time horse who always does his best work at this time of the year and he gave me a great thrill last March when winning that big race. Mark gets on with him well and I'm daring to hope that they will again be a winning combination in the Kim Muir.

 You can make excuses and say, 'Well, there are some new guys in there,' but you know what? A lot of these guys have been playing football for a long time. What it comes down to is beating your man and going and making the play. We didn't get that done.

 Our guys just made the plays. They didn't block our guys the way they've been blocking people. They had a harder time. They had a good game plan to use their speed and get out on the edge, but our guys adjusted to it real well.

 I remember a lot of the guys didn't go. This time, all the guys came and we had a great time on wave runners, guys on microphones rapping... I think it shows how close this team is. The last time, guys couldn't wait to leave.

 When I was in high school playing against those guys I really didn't feel friendly towards them at all. I tried to make myself think I hated Unionville at the time, and there was definitely a lot of trash talking. You run into those guys all the time. It's pretty important to have those bragging rights so you can walk with your head a little higher. But now that I'm out of school and you see those guys there's no hate there. I have a lot of respect for them.

 We didn't have to block some crazy looks which may have created problems for us. But at the same time, they did a pretty good job.

 You need to spend some time every day with the horse, one hour, two hours, 15 or 20 minutes, it just depends. Little by little it is going to get used to you. It's important to spend time with the horse. It learns to understand your body. If you don't feel the horse, you are not going to control the horse.

 We did pommel horse much better, but vault was rough. We had some guys try some double-folds for the first time. But overall, it was pretty good.
